What golf ball are you using these days?

My current gaming ball is the Kirkland V2. I am not playing great so it is cost effective option.

When I am playing to my full potential my and my wife's preferred ball is the Seed 001. To me they are the closet ball I have found that feel and perform like a Pro V1. However they are $44 vs $70 for Pro V1's.

Decided to keep playing Z Star like last year after trying Pro V1X, XV, Left Dash, Z Star Diamond, and BX. Just the right amount of spin off wedges for me, and is pretty dang long off driver. BX finished second, but it’s too low spin off driver… LONG!!!!!

For most rounds, I play the Vice Pro Plus.  Not as durable, but at 1/2 the price, they get the job done.  If you wait for the buy 5 dozen, get 1 free deal that they do a few times a year, it comes out to about $25-27/dozen after tax and shipping.  

For special rounds, I'll break out a sleeve of ProV1x. Typically get a dozen for my birthday and Christmas.

Strict Pro V1 user. As hard as it is to spend $50 a dozen, the results in my opinion are worth that to me. 
Played the ProV1x(PRE 2021)for years. When Titleist came out with new balls in 2021 it took some adjusting. Played the ProV1 for a bit, but wasn’t getting the feel around the greens I wanted. ProV1x is great around greens but too spinny for me off the tee. Then I found out about the PROV1x Left Dash, and that was a game changer and what I use nowadays.

There are plenty of more affordable balls on the markets, that perform great. The MyGolfSpy 2021 ball testing proves that to be true.

I played my first round with Maxfli Tour’s and I’ve got to say, wow. I loved it. The feel was soft enough, but I hit some huge drives. Bad drive hits still were pretty damn straight. Felt like the ball couldn’t get lose on a drive like a TP5x can if you miss hit it. And spin with short irons was great. Putting was nice and soft. Sank some nice putts. Only minor issue I saw was there wasn’t the kind of chipping spin I see with a TP5, but it wasn’t really an issue. 
 

Glad I picked up two dozen. Going to go through those and then buy the box. LFG.

... Glad you like the MT! Fwiw I have found the TP5 to be one of the highest spinning balls I have played. Calm conditions and hard fast fairways the TP5 works well as long as I remember to play for a hair more spin on chips and pitches. For me at least not a very big difference but enough to be aware of when playing them.

I usually play the Srixon Soft Feel in matte green. But I tried a Saintnine U-Pro yesterday and it was really good.

Inesis Tour 900 (yellow) for me.

I used Kirklands for the last couple of years, can't fault the value, unbeatablefor the price.  But I just felt more a bit more consistent with the Inesis, and I can see the yellow ones better.

Been playing the Bridgestone e12 Contact all season, it's been a real performer for me. Solid off the tee and decent feel & spin around the greens. Not tour level mind you, but it won't roll out when I make a good shot. I'll swap it out with a Q Star Tour on a course with firmer/drier greens just for a little more stopping power.

I do want to try the Maxfli Tour though after all the rave reviews it's received.

... Yea Adam just posted a video and Maxfli Tour was the longest ball for the 90-105 ss players. That's probably 75% of MGS members. Of course at $105 for 4 dozen it does everything well so longest is just icing on the cake. Interestingly though, it didn't show up in the top 5 for over 105 ss players.

Here I go on my soap box again....  boy do I long for that ball test using an 85-95 SS range.  I would venture to guess that of the 75% of MGS members in the 90-105 ss range, 75% or higher of those MGS members are in the 85-95 range.   On the course, my driving distance doesn't compare to the 105'ers being a 89-93'er...  I am suspecting balls reacting are different too, just as you noted about the Maxfli falling down the results for the 105+'ers.   That said... I have nothing but good things to say about the MTCG...  that ball performs at a $50/box equivalent IMO.

... Sounds about right to me too. And that doesn't count those that think they swing 85 but are actually slower. Like my high index snowbird playing pard that swings much "harder" than I do but usually hits his drives in the 190-210 range. And that is with roll on hard fast fairways. He isn't one of those guys that thinks he hits it farther but took a wild guess that he swings around 90 before his first ever fitting and he was around 78-82.
