2022 Senior Open

"And the champion senior golfer of the year is... Stephan Dodd". For those who also follow the Champions Tour, I remember watching Stephan Dodd overcome less than great odds and win last years event. He played out of his mind. I always love seeing these underdog storylines. It just reinforces the "on any given weekend" saying about golf and sporting contests in general. Can the Welshman repeat and defend his crown?  I'm going to say no.

The last senior major of the year will certainly be entertaining and I'll be watching it over the 3M if coverage allows. Padraig recently won the USGA Seniors Open and has been playing great guns of late... definitely one to watch.  But, Alker, Kelly, Langer, Jimenez, and a few others will be tough to get past.

Darren Clarke now has 2 Claret Jugs on his trophy shelf, one from his winning the "Open Championship" and this one from the "Senior Open Championship."

Popular win at least on that side of the "pond."

I believe he is one of only 4 players to do that.
