GolfSpy WD
I can't help myself and am constantly tinkering. I'm going to replace all my grips with midsize versions. I'll either replace my 3W shaft or replace it altogether with a RBZ. I may change out my iron shafts with the Apollo Hump for lower flight. I'm building myself and my son belly putters (even though I literally just built a new putter for Christmas). And who knows what sort of training gear I'll get: Definitely getting: True Ace Cadence Blue Ultralight for my 3W: $20 Karma White Velvet Jumbo Grips: $2.09 x 12 = $25 Winn DriTac Standard Midsize (for 3W): $6.50 Winn DriTac Wrap Lite Midsize (for driver): $6.30 Set of white ferrules: $4.65 Set of weight tip plugs: $8 Belly putter (I already have the head): Karma 19" Bk/Red Rnd Belly Grip: $8 Apollo 43" Stepless: $5.50 Possibly getting: RBZ Fairway: $229 5-LW Apollo Hump S shafts: $9.75 x 9 = $87.75 So in all I'm looking at between $70.45 - $316.75. Probably closer to the $316 figure. @GolfSpy_WD
RoverRick
If I promised my wife I would just spend $316 dollars this year on golf clubs she would love it. I have no plans on changing any more equipment for this year. Having said that, I may replace them all. I am planning on a trip to Golfsmith's tomorrow. The trip last week got canceled because I forgot to take the stuff I am returning and my buddies called and wanted to play golf. So I am off to hit the Rocketballz. Will not get one tomorrow, not that implulsive, but who knows. I am going to spend a lot of time in Europe the next three years so I may end up getting a completely new set. One for here one for there, but first I have to see where I will keep it over there. I may get an apartment, but first it is hotels and rental cars. Plus the weather right now is not worth taking clubs. Matt Saternus
This year I know I'm replacing the driver, 3W, and hybrid from last year's bag. What the new clubs will be, I have no idea, so I have no budget. The putter is also a question mark, waiting to see Bruce before any decisions get made on that front. It could be a very expensive season...but at least the irons and wedges are set...unless I need a new 60....it never ends. RoverRick
I have practically replaced all my clubs since "last season". I replaced my driver shaft today. And a hybrid shaft last week. I have almost as many club changes on the signature portion of this sight as I do posts. When I joined here in December I was playing Callaway TA Prototype Irons. I loved them but thought the Titleist ZB's looked really cool. I hit a couple of balls and fell in love. Last week, I hit some Titleist CB's and fell in love again. But other than swing weight the ZB's are the same. Plus I like the ZB short irons. I may replace this shaft in a few weeks if I fall out of love with it. New driver shaft, new hybrid shaft, different irons, and a new putter. Other than that not much has changed from last year. Oh yeah a new wedge. I told my wife when we met that I work just enough to support my golf habit. I have a monthly budget for getting new shinny things for my golf bag. Like I said in another post. I go to the golf store once a month just to fondle the merchandise. I am a clubophile. JBones
Well, I bought a new pair of shoes today on clearance for $50. My wife is getting me a TM ghost spider for my bday. So that just leaves a new RBZ 3w, a 7.5* 9032 LD that I'm buying from my cousin, the rest of the FST Pro 125's for my irons, the orange Lamkin or Karma grips for those irons, and a new shaft for the 9032. RookieBlue7
Don't make me guess please. I replaced irons 3 times, had 13 drivers, 1 already this season, had 7 different fairways, 4 hybrids and I quit counting putters. 3 bags too. Not counting the 4 pair of shoes. hckymeyer
So far over the winter I've gotten 2 sets of grips, 2 sets of irons, 2 putters, a pair of shoes and a new shaft for my hybrid. I may also end up with a new hybrid, but I promised myself I wouldn't buy one until I at least hit the one I have now with the new shaft. Kanoito
I'll be getting a new set of irons + 52* and 58* wedges (going back to 3 wedge set up instead of 4) Drivers, putter and hybrid I just changed last season, so they are staying for a while. I got new shoes by the end of last season (haven't worn them yet). But with all the hype about the RBZ 3W, I think I might have to grab one! So how much is it going to be? $1300 give or take? I was finally able to leave 1 set at my parents and 1 set at my in-laws, that way I don't have to fly with clubs anymore. And this new set will be my gamer in Germany!
