MGS Live Round Thread

Thought it would be cool to have a thread where members could post live updates of their round. 
 

Im heading out for 9 shortly and will be posting updates and pictures of my round as things happen!

Playing one of my home courses today. Mercer oaks West. 
 

first hole is a straight forward par 4. Hit a great drive left center but barely caught the rough bump out. s***** lie with 80 yards out so just played to the center

 

Edit: Drained a 35 footer for birdie!!!

2nd hole is a shorter dog leg right par 4. Hit a great 3 wood down the left side

Hit my 58 to here and made the birdie! 2 under through 2!!!

3rd hole is par 4 with water down the left. Hit a great drive right center but hit my gap wedge fat and short. ChipR time!!

Unfortunately my chip checked up and left my a tricky 12 footer. Lipped out for bogey

#4 is a dog leg right par 5. Tried to cut the corner but hit a little draw so ended up going through the fairway into the rough

Super uphill side hill lie. Little punch with the 4 iron to get me to around 80 yards out

Pulled my wedge to here. But hit a beautiful baby flop onto the green and rolled to 1 ft for a tap in par.

#5 is a 185 yard par 3. Struck my 6 iron A groove low but still have a 25 footer for birdie

East two putt par on the par 3

 

#6 is an long 450 yard par 4 that plays slightly uphill. Just murdered my drive down the right side of the fairway

Was pin high left but 40 ft away. Left the first putt a little shorter than I’d like but made the 8 footer for par. 
 

#7 is a nice 550y Par 5

Lost my drive to the right a bit and had to punch back into play. Roped my hybrid from 220 and it just rolled through the back of the green. Need to get up and down for par.

Still getting used to how easy the ChipR gets through lies like this. Went past the flag and missed the comebacker giving me a disappointing bogey. Back to even par.

#8 Par3 167. Helping wind but flared my 9 iron into the right greenside bunker

Shortsided myself so left myself 40 ft for par after an average bunker shot. 2 putt bogey

#9 is a 365y par 4 with a 2nd shot over water. Less than driver off the tee

East 4 iron leaving me 137 in.  Hit my PW pin high to the middle of the green. Pin tucked on the right

Left my birdie putt 3 inches short! Tapped in for a +1 37
