Eduard
Hi all, I'm doing a fitting for a L.A.B. Golf putter next week, I'm mostly leaving towards the Mezz or Mezz max. Just wanted to ask anyone who has done a fitting what to look out for and ask? Thanks! Check out the reviews which were just completed a few weeks back we had 4 or 5 members test the Mezz and go through their online fit process as well as have several discussions with LAB along the way! GolfSpy BOS
Yeah I would definitely check out the Mezz.1 reviews! adding a link here, tests are in a different section of the forum so I know it can be difficult to find at first. The comments section will have even more details about the fittings and if you reply to the end of the comments thread I’m sure the testers will reply to your questions! johnsomp
Can anyone comment on whether a 1 degree difference in lie angle would be noticeable? I was fit for a 70 degree lie angle, but was offered a good price on a putter with a 69 degree lie angle that i couldnt try before buying. I think I stand a bit too close to the ball so if i backup an inch that would suggest a lower lie angle, right? Even Sam said this in a previous post. 1* lie angle is approximately 0.5" difference in ball position.

I'd actually be amazed if most people don't alter their lie angle by a degree or more every time they set up to the ball anyway. The LAB putters do help with this because the sole is large and flat and you can feel when it sits flush on the ground but most putters that are smaller, it would be hard to notice if your hands are a degree or two low or high. If you were striking the ball on the face in the same exact spot every time I would say yes. For most of us, 1* would be difficult to find a significant difference...I would pulll the trigger. I think I stand a bit too close to the ball so if i backup an inch that would suggest a lower lie angle, right? Correct. But if you see the line of a putt correctly, it may now look incorrect to you if you backup. You will have to experiment with that. As others have said, I don't think you will be able to tell a difference of 1º... 2º likely. You will likely adjust your setup to that putter. And... a good whack on the ground when you miss a putt will make it 70º. GolfSpy SAM
I would suggest going for the 69, for sure. I had been fitted to 68 in an in-person fitting a few years ago, and when I originally submitted my video to LAB (before making some setup changes and re-submitting), I was fit to 69. I asked the fitter if that would be an issue, and he flat-out said to go with 68 if I knew I was comfortable there, that 1* wouldn't make a huge difference. As it was, I got fitted into 65* and LOVE it, but that's due to my new set-up. If it was drastically different, I'd say don't do it, but 1* should be zero issue. Let us know if you take the plunge, and what you think! (FWIW, I had my lowest total putts ever this past Friday - 30 - and the LAB just continues to impress) GolfSpy TCB and Bobbers 2 Quote Driver - PXG 0811 XF - Gen 5, 9 degrees (+1 setting), Oban Devotion TR 65 04 3/5 Wood - Cobra LTDx Max (Blue Colorway) Utility - Caley X01 Driving Iron (3 = 18*) Irons (5-PW) - Caley 01T Wedges (48, 52, 56, 60) - Indi Wedges FLX 48 / ATK 52, 56, 60 Putter - L.A.B. vandyland
New L.A.B. prototype spotted being used by Charles Howell III that will be called the LINK.1. Looks very much like a standard blade putter from the back. I would post a picture here but it is my understanding that MGS doesn't allow photos before embargo is lifted which I respect.
