Foeged is a bit smaller heel to toe and vey slightly thinner too line. Almost starting to blur into the Tour. But when you hold them side by side, thee is a little difference. Some other technical stuff that can be mentioned yet. In the Hot Metal the big news is a new model. The Hot Metal HL for High Launch. Same specs offset and size wise as the HM. But with slightly weaker lofts to increase carry and height. Especially in the 5-7 irons. We should have our fitting heads in next week and I’ll be interested to hit them. I looked at the Japanese website, which provides FP instead of offset. The FP numbers for the HL are lower than the standard HM which i believe means offset is higher in HL. For example, the FP numbers for HM Pro are higher than HM, and we know that HM Pro have lower offset than HM. tony@CIC, RollingGreens, MattF and 1 other 4 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin

Maybe something to do when the fitting heads arrive. Also keep in mind, often times companies release different specs in Japan than the rest of the world. Delsin
Hmm. I have 919 hot metal pros with Recoil 95s in stiff. 53, gimpy, and on the border of stiff/regular on the monitor. To reshaft to regular Recoil 95’s almost as much as a new set of 921 HMP’s. But … custom 921’s just pulled off the shelf everywhere in the last week. Mentioned that at Fiddler’s Green (Eugene, OR) today and they’re like yep, just closed our custom orders on 921’s yesterday. Was told 923’s expected out early October. cksurfdude
dlow206
So i play 921 Hot Metals and today I decided to try the 921 Hot Metal Pros, so i can see which 923 I should buy. It was a good thing that I went to a store and hit the 921 HM vs HM Pro to get idea if I should go 923 HM or HM Pro. This wasn't a real fitting, just asked to hit both 921 HM and HM Pro and they set them up with shafts that aren't what I play but agreeable to be representative. Also, clubs were standard length and lie, whereas i play -0.5" and two degrees flat from Mizuno lie. HM Pro was much better for my swing faults. My mishits tend to be super spinny, and my spin was higher with the standard 921 HM. So for my misses, the HM Pro were more "forgiving" in terms of distance loss. Below was an example of a HM Pro shot. McGolf
Just had a visit with the mizuno rep. The new 923 will be released in two time frames the HM, HM pro and HM HL heads will be first then the hm forged and HM tour will be second. The HM and pro models long with the HM HL will be first and will just slightly stronger however the pro model will be more than the HM without offset. It is better looking head and the same specs as the HM, The line will be cleaner than its predecessors. The tour and forged models are more improved in the looks category than the HMs but all are as said are cleaner and with a bit more ball speed. Making these club head contenders in their respective categories. There will be two new models of drivers with an associated fwy and hyb. My favorite in this will be the hyb, we fit tons of the clk model. The new product is an “upgrade” to the clk, we will see but if it is then another contender has arrive for that space.
