puttnfool
I'm currently gaming the UST Recoil 95 F4 (soft stepped once) in my irons (4-GW). I recently made the move to graphite due to nerve issues and old age, in general. My wedges still have steel shafts in them. They're both Dynamic Gold Tour Issue. One is S400 and the other is wedge flex. I'm not 100% sure on that wedge flex shaft, but I'm certain the S400 is near 130g. I'm contemplating changing to graphite in the wedges, too, but not sure I want to go all the way down to 95g. Thinking of going to the Recoil 110g F4 and putting a 9i shaft in them to match my other wedges. Wondering what others have done. cnosil
I have the stock 85 gram Vizard shafts in my Honma irons and like you was playing heavy steel in my wedges. I feel that wedges are my weakest area and during the Maryland outing we were talking after my Titleist fitting and the suggestion was that I go lighter weight graphite in my wedges. I am getting 90gr Accra wedge shafts installed to see how it works. My swing is on the smoother side and I hit full shots with my wedges. The opinion was that these shafts would give me a more consistent feel with the wedges as I transition from iron to wedge. I asked about 115gr and the feedback was that was still too much weight. bens197 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
