90golfer
Hi, I'm a mid handicap golfer who lives in Toronto looking to trying golf fitting for the first time. Does anyone know any good fitters around the Toronto area? Shapotomous
GolfSpy_APH
I'm sure there may be a price attached to various fitters and it may depend on how much you are looking to spend. However TXG is one of the top companies in the world for fitting so there would be your top choice. Not sure how many openings they have right away either. Outside of that various golf courses should have fitting centers, GolfTown isn't the worst in the world either considering it is often free as well. Lots of options for you, but price will play a part and potentially brands. Shapotomous and TR1PTIK 2 Quote as of Nov 6, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: Paradym TD w/ GD ADDI 6X Driver Shootout! golferguy2727
TXG is awesome - recently availability has been difficult I think, but they are a very good team. Modern Golf is also well regarded - west end of Toronto and Mississauga. I believe Golftown is also setting up some boutique areas in locations specific to fittings like the TXG/ Modern Golf model. The Vaughan location looks like it’s adding something like that in their current renovation and I think Leaside had similar plans about a year ago. hope this helps Quote Titleist T300 (2022) 5-PW, W48, W53 plus Taylormade Full Face 56 SW Current driver Titleist TSi3 Hybrids Titleist 818 19 H2 23 H2 Gamer Putter Nike Method Matters B1-07 Ball Titleist Tour Speed / Taylormade Tour Response Bag is Titleist Linksmaster Pushcart is Kaddey Rangefinder is Voice Caddie SL2 Shotscope club tags
90golfer
Thank you all for your feedbacks. May I ask why TXG has become such a big name? I do realize they do a lot of social media promotions.

I do realize they do a lot of social media promotions. They have a YouTube channel and Ian is a very knowledgeable man. 90golfer
How should I pick between Modern Golf and TXG? And I guess the actual fitter should be the decisive factor rather than the company name/branding?

Personally I'd lean towards TXG because of Ian Fraser but he also helped launch Modern Golf in the first place before starting his own shop with TXG. RickyBobby_PR
It’s TXG and not even close. Unless you book with Ian the price for TXG is inline with all other fitters. You are going to get the best experience at TXG.
