I have the final 4 set as Francesco Molinari, Martin Kaymer, Rory Mcilroy, and Tiger Woods - With Kaymer and Rory advancing to the finals. Unlike last year, however, I have Kaymer taking the cake! (and eating it too in 15 holes)

I have Woods over Rock but going the distance. It was 50/50 staying with Tiger with his recent Sunday problems, but I figured he would pull match play out in the end. That way we can hear Jim-tell-all-these-idiots-the-story-every-time-you-say-a-player's-name-Nance call him. 'Tiger-who-has-not-won-a-full-field-event-other-than-match-play-since-he-drove-his-SUV-and-admitted-to-numerous-affairs-Woods" at least 87 times during Master's weekend.

I did a deal earlier today, before this came about where you could pick upsets per bracket. And I just went and was able to get added to MyGolfSpy. We have until 9:59 am EST for people to sign up and join the fun. So far there are just three of us and you other two are going down. Sergio could not win my club championship.

I certainly hope the actual tournament is as interesting as the picking of it was. And now I understand how I won the club championship last year. A few good holes at the end of any of these matches by someone unexpected and you have Sergio and KJ or Jason Day winning the whole thing. Or you have RoverRick teeing off at 9 am Monday morning for the 36 hole flight champion match when I barely scraped by in the first round.

Well, I started out 16 of 32 and am in last place but this is match play. I always start slow. Just like todays round, I started out with two double bogies, a par and a bogey and then parred the rest of the holes. I will just keep plugging away. If Tiger plays like he did today, stupidly, he will be going home tomorrow.

I've seen Tigers putting lately; I don't have him going far. I luckily have my final four intact. I scrolled through the first couple hundred places and I saw very few of us with Schwartzel picked to win. Fingers crossed.

I need Stanley, Rock, Mcilroy, Bradley, Bubba, Stricker, Mahan, and Woods to win tomorrow, but at least my final four are still in it. But I admit that I have some minor concerns about Mr. Woods performance. I have decided that since he has been playing well all but one day of the tournament, then it is a good thing and today was his bad day. Rock, Mcilroy, Sticker and Woods are my final four and no, I am not near as confident today as I was last night picking the brackets.

I entered this... only got 15 right in the 1st round, and both of my top 2 finalist picks lost in the 1st round. Only 21 points through two rounds. Next year I'll have to find a different strategy for picking match play winners. Flipping a coin would be a better strategy than whatever judgement I used this time.

Well, I did so poorly in this Golf Weekly asked me not to play next year.

 

Actually, they said they needed me to play again next year because someone had to be the worst.

 

They also wanted to know if I wanted to continue my GolfWeekly subscription because they were not sure I could read. They were sure that I thought that it was Golf Weakly. Because I certainly picked weakly.

 

 

I got 6 points today and at best I can have two players advance tomorrow. Of course, I will not know because I will be watching something else. I think I will watch the NFL channel. I can at least pick those game right. Well, those that I remember what the score was.

 

 

But I did beat two of their three pros.

That was a lot of fun though. Too bad Rory couldn't pull it off. Can't wait for something similar for the Ryder Cup.

I have to agree. Placing in the thousands isn't great, but picking and watching was a lot of fun. Oh, and winning the mgs bracket made the sour feeling go away rather quickly...
