Presidents Cup Watch Party

Hello all!

We are going to try something a little new with this. With what we hope to be a great day of golf we are going to have a watch party for those who want to meet up virtually with some fellow Spys via Google Meet. The watch party will start at 4pm EST for those who want to drop in and chat with other Spys about the Presidents cup and of course the official launch of the Mizuno 923 irons! If you are interested in joining for a little bit pop on over to this link: https://meet.google.com/woz-tjde-stx and we can have a good time getting to know some other spys. 

We hope to make this type of call (likely max 1 hour) a weekly occurrence, so let us know what times may work best for you and we can look to adjust times to fit the majority of people. 

Then on special weeks we will have HQ staff join us to chat most wanted testing, lab tests and much more!

I’ll be on for a brief time hopefully this afternoon, have a wedding at 5!

For weekly meetups will make what I can. Afternoons depending on the day I can probably get on depending on work meetings. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are pretty free! Look forward to it!

Went there is summer as well it was a pretty good time. Should definitely look like fall up there. Have fun. Now back yo your regularly schedule presidents cup talk

Tried to log in with the admin account about 30 minutes ago, but I wasn't able to do it.  I know Jamie was on earlier but there was nobody else there.  He said he was leaving the room open... but not sure if he is monitoring it (late where he is).  Sorry to all that are trying to get in... we will work out the bugs and try again...

Apologies. Tried leaving the room open, but must have closed due to inactivity.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay on with it being late and having to take care of the baby. Then when Tim tried to log into the mod account i didn't see the sheet to grant accessn in time. 

I'll open it up again a little this weekend and we can hopefully be sure one of the mods is on to let anyone in. 

We will try again and surely succeed!!

So why not set a forward date at least a week in advance to gather the interest, put it on calendars and rally the MGS Spies who have an interest in meeting online for conversation and fellowship? 

A watch party is a great idea, perhaps we can do more of these for different interest groups, thinking like the old days of CompuServe or Yahoo Messenger when chatrooms were online 24/7 for people to connect with like minded people.  It's sure to start off somewhat slow but that's just part of people discovering the opportunity and then finding what option is right for them.  Hopefully if we do venture down this kind of path we don't run into similar problems that ended up in those servers being taken down because of individuals making unfortunate choices that we can most likely circumvent with the nature of MGS having less anonymity and people ready to hold each other accountable for reasonable and respectful behavior.

A couple of comments here EP.  

1)  shout out to CompuServe!!!  Showing our age.. but don't care. Haha. 

2) we are all adults here.. well most of us and the sample size is much smaller than the open chat rooms in those other systems... having said that, never immune to trolls.  The mods are pretty active across all the forum platforms... it's our job to nip that issue in the bud.

3) I think the timing was tough today.  4 pm EST on a Friday is a hard one.  But I agree, it is a great idea that we should continue to promote.
