I don't know if that JPX 850 is correct or not that's why I'm trying to confirm it, I think I will just buy it as it looks the same. Appreciate your help..

This Mizuno Japan site shows JPX850 and JPX900 adapter is also used on MP Type 1 and 2 driver heads

This thread is either informing or poisoning my brain. Like others have stated above it has me looking at my whole bag differently now. I have a 5 wood with a warped shaft that I just KNOW is going to get a senior flex put into it. So then when does that trickle down into the irons? Oh lord....

Also, just to be sure, GPLB shaft is "butt trim only" correct? So if I was putting it into a 5 wood we would just install it and then butt trim until it got to a playing length of 42"?

For the 45 gram the trimming instructions say butt cut only

Per the True Temper website, the company that makes the PLB, it's butt trim only for the 45 gram shaft.

Trim code for 5w is W2 = 1inch.
check out The Golfworks website.

I think the only senior flex option is in the 44g which looks like it W1, but if I stepped up to the regular shaft at 64g then it would be W2:

image.png.1144e6c4ecbe5aac5ba506fd6c637dab.png

Another interesting piece is how much the torque changes from the 44g to the 64g shaft even in the same relative "flex" as the Regular in 44g has 5.0* of torque vs 3.2* of torque.

I put a 45 Play length into my ZX7 for long, open, par 4's and 5's with 10 - 15 yards further.

Put a 44 play length into my ZX5 - for tight par fours; and put a 42 Play length into my TSI2 5 wood.

I can use the 44 ZX5 off the deck with ease - took my 3 wood out of the bag as the 44 ZX5 gives me my former length but much tighter dispersion.

All have GPLB 45 shafts butt trimmed. L flex in the drivers; A flex in the 5 wood.

I love to "tinker" especially when the results really pay off.

Irons next?? Maybe. It has been since the original Great Big Bertha came out (1980's) since I have had so much fun.

While I wait for my Prolaunch shaft to arrive, I feel like the next test (for me) is to do battle between a stiff -- regular -- senior flex 5 wood or 7 wood. I have historically struggled with fairway woods and I wonder now if it is down to flex. I already know the outcome with the stiff flex so it will just be used to get baseline numbers and count the amount of low, weak right shots that I get from them (note: A LOT).

I have always been intrigued by 7 woods but I have found that stiff flex 7 woods were previously hard to find. Well, not regular or senior flex 7 woods! And I think that is what I actually probably need to get a better release, launch etc. Same with utility irons. And then I will have to start messing with different flexes of irons. All winter long maybe? I should just go ahead and buy the 10 pack of simulator visits to Golf Galaxy.

Imitation is one of the sincerest forms of flattery, right?  And doing it at a price point 90% lower?  Even better.

Seriously, one of the real pluses of this thread has been that there's been no trash talking of Dumina.  It's been a hunt for improved performance in a creative, atypical manner.

I did a quick view of the video and I think it is for players with a more aggressive swing unlike the autoflex which is for a smoother swinging player.

Have to agree but the video went for way too long imho so fast fwd to actually hit the ball, would of liked to see him hit his gamer driver for comparison oh well…

I've seen Matt put out similar or better #'s with other shafts that probably cost half of what this one will sell for.. and actually act like he liked them. All I got from his reaction is that the shaft plays really stiff.

Don’t have the time to shuffle through all the pages. I usually play 130x KBS in my irons with my faster swing speed. What is the advantage in going to a lighter regular flex graphite shaft for irons?

Unknown, I'd buy a 7iron head and try a regular flex as a starter. I went from reg graphite shafts to stiff super light the opposite way but I hit them much straighter, I'm a believer in the driver lady flex shaft BUT not for irons based on what happened going stronger flex irons which was and accident, I was planning on changing the stiff flex for rev flex because I wanted the Mizuno iron head... Good luck..

Would the Reg flex promote more of a draw with a faster swing? Or is this a bad idea to try?

I don't think it is bad idea at all.  Most of the experimenters have dropped 2 flexes, but for me, dropping 1 flex produced better results.  I went with the Fuji Air Speeder 45 regular in a PXG 0311XF driver and a Fuji Air Speeder 45 senior (tipped 1") in a PXG 3 wood.  The lighter more flexible shafts feel easier to swing but I have to make a smooth transition.
