Got it for 18 at my local executive course (par 61), and played way better than the scorecard reflects - just a few inches difference on MANY putts and it would’ve been a remarkable day.

 score (gross) : 71

 score (net) : -1

 net birdies: 5

Well played the 1st 9 today and shot 50, 2nd shot was my undoing as I was short of the pin on nearly every hole. On the 6th I was in a rain created lake and 43 metres out and had to drop behind the lake on a slight downhill lie, I shanked my ball into a dirt bunker no sand here and took 3 shots to get out. 2 putts for 7 and that was the tone of the day plus the 2nd is an elevated green, it's about 6 metres and I've started using the putter as if your chipping and if your chip carried more than a metre onto the green it's off the other side. So 3 attempts to get up onto the green and 2 putts for 6, not happy my strength has become my weakness whilst my weakness had become a strength lol...

Wasn't sure I'd get in entry with the weather turning up here in Michigan, but snuck out for a quick 18 this morning! Little "exec" type course that I really enjoy (Indian Trails), but admittedly makes it tough to compete net haha.

My handicap: 5.9

Course handicap: 3

Gross score: 73 (net 70, +4)

3 net birdies

Longest drive was 331, got ahold of a downwind drive!

Tons of 5-15ft putts, wasn't getting a ton of them to go early in the round and started making more towards the back end. Had a couple shots that felt really nice, love playing this course because it really puts an emphasis on the scoring portion of the game which is always good to get some extra practice.

Played in my men's club weekly event this morning.  I was definitely not on my game today... but somehow managed to grind my way around the course with nothing worse than a bogey.  It seemed I was clipping trees on every drive and my putter was equally troublesome costing me minimum 4 strokes, but also saved several holes as well.  I shot 38/40 for a gross 78 (net 74 or 2 over par net).  I had 2 gross birdies and 3 net birdies, and thanks to a helping wind and a nice first bounce off some hardpan... measured a drive at 291 yards.

shot of the day came on the #1 hole (which was my 13th hole of the day after a shotgun start).  I hit a solid drive, but as my day seemed to be.. I clipped a tree on the right side of the fairway and it dropped straight down.  I had 170 to an elevated green with the pin positioned directly over a trap.  I flushed a 6 iron that dropped right on the front edge of the green and trickled forward to 4 feet.  rolled in the putt for a birdie.

Absolutely! In the spring and fall we have a few around here that offer good off-season rates, which is a great way to zip around the course and get things dialed in.

I played decent on the front nine, but very poorly on the back, 44-53 for a gross 97.

Course handicap is 14, so that’s a net 83 (+11). 6 net birdies (all of which were gross pars) and a long drive PB of 321. I took a VERY aggressive line off the tee (you can see where the actual fairway is on the image, I went up and over the trees guarding the dog-leg) and I’m pretty sure I got a cart path assist.

3rd round of the week today.  Once again, undone by one hole.  I shot 40/38 with a triple on Par 5 4th hole - position shot with a 3 wood off the tee, 6 iron layup short of the water fronting green to 100 yards, but left it just off the fairway in the rough.  Should Have Been a nice little 3/4 wedge to the pin.  But what actually happed was a chunky contact causing the ball to roll up the face and left me 3/4 the way across the pond.

In a classic Tin Cup moment, I took my drop in that exact location (instead of walking up to the waters edge and taking my drop there - some 40 yards closer to the green) which then nestled even further down into the rough.

A full gap wedge gouge later - the ball hit the green running and over  the back fringe and left me a chip back down the hill, missed the putt, and tapped in for a smooth 8.  Other than that... 4 bogeys and a birdie in route to my 78.  1 natural birdie/3 net birdies.  Best drive of the day (and year) came on the Par 5 - 18th hole; down wind and found a nice hard spot on the fairway leaving me 230 to the green.  Total driving distance 296 yards.

BIG drive gavinski!!

Early morning round with just my wife today; Men's Club right behind us and they didn't hit into us at all!!  We had to wait for every shot on groups in front of us, but we played in exactly 4 hours; not bad for a beautiful Sunday morning round at a muni.

Hole #2 is back to its normal par 4 after bunker renovation reduced it to a short par 3 last week.

Back was still bothering me as I was warming up on the range; 46º... wearing shorts, polo, merino wool sweater vest, and a 1/4zip pullover.  The pullover came off at the turn; vest came off on #13; got up to 70º when we finished.

Course: Columbia Point GC

Course Handicap: 4

Gross Score: 77 (+5)  42 front... Even Par 35 on the back.  A double on #3 killed me!!

Net Score: 73 (+1)

Gross Birdies:  2

Net Birdies:  3

Long Drive: 215

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
