I always considered taking my glove off to putt over the top, reserved for pros only. But I started taking it off around every green this summer just to keep it drier - makes a big difference there. Now it feels strange to leave it on putting? I suspect I’ll go back to leaving it on as it gets cold but…

I even take mine off for pitch shots as for me I get more feel and what I gather as more control. So as soon as I'm 50 yards in glove comes off.

Plus you know tan lines!

Exception being rain 🌧️☔

Glove always off when putting.   Sometimes like @GolfSpy_APHI take it off for short game shots, and then I sometimes play without a glove at all 😂

Interestingly, I recently had a lengthy (and on-going) conversation about this with one of my golf buddies.  He noticed I never take my glove off.  I put it on when I get on the range, and only remove it if I need to use the "facilities".  Then take it off and hang it on my bag as I'm walking off the 18th green.  He told me I would be a better putter if I took it off.  Ironically, before moving to Texas - I never wore a glove... so I guess the glove thing is new for me... but I honestly just don't think about it..  As I'm walking to the green, I am thinking about the undulation and the speed, and fixing my pitch mark if there is one... making sure I'm not stepping in the other's lines (or the extended lines past the hole), marking my ball, then starting my routine.  It never occurs to me to take off my glove.

As Forrest would say...

I take my glove off as much as I can. Putts and any touch shot inside 60 and in bunkers.

My glove comes off after every shot and stays off for short game and putting (bunker shots it goes back on, though). During this time of year it's a habit (though unnecessary), but during summer, it is to allow whatever fractional amount of drying that can happen while walking to the next shot. During peak heat/humidity, I normally have 2 or 3 gloves in rotation because my hands get pretty sweaty.

Glove comes off for putting, and most of the time comes off for anything that's close to the green.  The exception would be a bunker shot, or flop shot, where I still need some speed in the swing.

All of this changes in the rain/cold.  Then I might just leave it on for the whole round.

I definitely rotate between two or three gloves during the summer and it comes off after each shot

I fall more into the category of less glove the better. I used to never wear one, saved some money which I liked. Then when I started speed training I found I needed the glove on driver. So now unless its very cold I only wear glove with the driver. Helps them last a long time.

That used to be my MO, I'd use two gloves and switch after every hole or so. But I stumbled on chipping and putting without a glove, and now I'm used to it. That said, I am sure I will go back to leaving my (one) glove on when NC winter sets in just for warmth. I play with my rain gloves, or winter gloves, both hands in winter already just to keep my hands warm.

I take mine for putting almost always. Used to do this all the time when I lived in AZ to give a chance to dry out. Kind of a habit now.  It living in the PNW I'll take it off if it’s raining or damp out more often to attempt to keep it dry. Loving here I always have a spare and when it’s too wet I go without a glove hoping the towels aren’t soaked either. When that happens, it’s clubhouse time.

The glove comes off after every shot. I don't wear it while putting, hitting punch shots, or any wedge shots (GW/SW/LW). Putting the glove on has become a sort of a trigger to start my preshot routine.

Also, I think it's weird when I watch the old Masters replays and see Jack wearing a glove the entire round.

I've only recently started wearing a glove and will leave it on while putting. I think it has to do with the fact that I've played so long without one that if I take it off, it'll just stay in my pocket. Eventually I might get in the habit of removing it and putting it back on.

When I am focusing properly I take my glove off after every shot (weather permitting).  It was a tip from my first ever golf coach when I was about 12 and struggling with the mental side of the game as I improved physically and mechanically.  Theory was, when the glove is on I am playing golf - looking at my lie, assessing my shot, picking a club and executing.  When the glove is off, I am out in the countryside for a walk,  chatting with friends and getting exercise - not fretting over my last shot, trying to work out where I will be to 'par' if I play a wonder shot out of the trees and salvage bogey or worrying that my opponent is out driving me when playing matchplay.

Keeping the glove off when I reached the surrounds of the green was all about Jack..... 😀

Brief version, to be updated later

I mostly never wore a glove my whole "career".  For some reason I started wearing one this last spring.  I put in at the 1st tee and took it off to putt/chip at the 1st green.  Three holes later I remembered I had a glove in my pocket, so I said screw it.  I don't think I could remember to take it off and put it on; don't really need it anyway unless I'm playing in humid/wet weather (rare), and then it stays on the entire round.

I take my glove off to putt.    I don't think there's a real difference in putting, I just do it.  A part of me wonders if I do this because I've seen the pros on TV do it, just like guys who will put their sunglasses on the back of their hat when not using them.

I don’t use a glove anymore, but when I did I only really used it for the driver and longer irons.

I always felt that when you aren’t gripping the club too hard, a glove can make the club feel paradoxically more unstable…especially when the glove is older or isn’t a perfect fit.

I generally putt with the glove off.  When I was new I would regularly forget a wedge near the green, so I got in the habit of taking the glove off and dropping it on the wedge as a reminder.  And like others have mentioned, I like to let it air out however briefly.

I take mine off for putting.  I don't think I would sink any less if I left it on, I just only have it on because of the grip on full swings, and I don't need that on a putter, so it feels weird to putt with it on.  It comes off any time my setup changes to short approach shots and I don't need the full or 3/4 swing.  Basically anything inside 40 yards, with the exception of bunker shots, my glove will be off.
