As sad as I’d be to see Rahm defect, it would make total sense. I’m more curious if it would also mean a whole new team being added as well because I can’t see him going without also getting a captains role and other money perks from merchandising, etc.

great point.  As much as I like LIV, the current team names leave a lot to be desired.

It’s really the only aspect of LIV I find laughable.

The articles I have read talked about him joining on Sergios team.

Not sure really. Frustration with the tour and more money than his kids could spend.

It does seem interesting that players would leave the easier money on LIV for a tougher circuit. Kudos to DPWT for bringing these guys back into the fold and bolstering their status.

Have to admit the whole split and all this will he won't be along with not seeing the best players on one spot outside of maybe majors has killed my enthusiasm for watching any pro golf. 

To the point I likely won't even bother with fantasy golf anymore. 

Sucks but this whole thing (both sides) and the drama has made pro golf unappealing to watch or follow. I'll check in for the majors  but count me out on the rest.

I'm getting to that point as well.  I understand wanting to set yourself and your family up financially.  But like all pro sports, these guys grew up playing because they loved the game and I think a lot of them have forgotten that.

I like watching the LPGA more than the PGA.  I think people need to finally give LIV a try.  
 

remember people, the PGA doesn’t pay you to watch them.

I tried and gave it an honest shot. Had zero appeal to me with the format. Not that the PGA tour is much better, but at least there you can have some sort of flow with where the rounds are at.

There is the added part there were only 2 or 3 players at LIV I had interest in watching.

Prefer amateur, junior and college golf and LPGA over pga tour… LIV is like WWE, TERRIBLE!

This is where I'm at as well.  I use to watch golf every week, now I just watch the majors.

I tried watching liv golf but the score board is so messed up lts hard to follow. Not to mention that music blasting I wouldn't be able to golf with that going on, if someone pulls up to the tee next to ours with the radio blasting I ask them to turn it down or I wait for them to leave.

WWE is bigger than all of golf!  So if LIV is like the WWE, then LIV is bigger than the PGA!  Thanks!

You could also say that WWE is just fake wrestling so LIV is fake golf.

That's your twist on the wording from stating that WWE is like LIV golf and LIV is better than the PGA.  

You may enjoy LIV which is fine,  but from an entertainment perspective (which is what all golf is) it doesn't far well when looking at viewer ratings.   

I've watched LIV and for me is provides no more entertainment value than any other golf event.  But I generally just have golf on in the background and don't focus much time on watching any event.

Agree with this. In terms of content, watching various YouTube golfers I personally believe provides far more value and entertainment than LIV.

Not from a lack of trying, but I find it so hard to find any joy in watching any of it. 

Have to add their promo suck. I am a golf nut and for 10 of the 14 events last year I didn't even realize there was a LIV event until it was over.

At this point, pretty much the only golf I watch at all is on YouTube and it's purely for entertainment purposes in small chunks. 

I watched more LPGA this year than PGA, and that's not saying much because I really only watched to see Rose Zhang's debut.

If I watch sports on TV, I want it to mean something and have actual stakes. So that rules out anything LIV, and that's even if I could find it on TV at that.

A big question mark for me, watching the tournament in Australia and seeing Cam Smith struggle. I wonder if that is an anomaly or the LIV golfers skills diminish for some reason... I will keep an eye on their performance.

... That's because they actually play golf. You know, hybrids, long and mid irons, chips and pitches. A few of the Ladies can bomb it and others are just laser accurate. I have had zero interest in LIV even taking the moral side completely out of the equation or where they played. I tuned in once to see what I wasn't gonna watch and was very pleasantly surprised at how bad it was. But then again I don't with Pro Raslin' either. For golf I love to watch the college girls, the LPGA and an occasional Asian tour event from time to time. But with football in full swing, the Phoenix Suns Big 3 and LPGA/College golf there is only so much time to watch when I am not playing.

... Of course I'll watch the Majors as they are always exciting but weekly tour PGA stops hold very little interest for me. 510yd par 4 driving over a bunker with a 310 yd carry and a 360 yd drive leaving a wedge to the green and a putting contest is as boring as it gets for me. Last PGA event I watched I counted 11 putts in a row coming out of a commercial before one iron swing and then back to commercials.

I’ve tried watching LIV and honestly, I don’t get the hype. And that seems like all it is. There is some talent there but overall it screams like a frat party and less like sport. The stakes are significantly lower and the team play element is barely existent. I want to watch serious competition, even if the field is full of relative unknowns. That’s also for me part of the allure of the DP World Tour and LPGA. I don’t know all the names but it’s enjoyable watching genuine competition.

I mean seriously, thy embrace the frat party mindset. PGAT has the WM and it is what it is. But it seems like LIV tries to make every event like their 17th hole.

... I certainly see folks that evidently love that around here. LIV wannabe's riding their carts on the fringes and sides of tee boxes like that will save them what, 2 steps? Getting that bag of ice from the clubhouse after 9 and restocking their coolers with a 2nd 6 pack as their "music" blares some of the worst music I can imagine. And a 4:45 minute round. I am sure they love the Pistolero's or Bazooka Boyz or whatever the "teams" are calling themselves. 

... And to be clear I am not saying all LIV watchers are frat boys and if you enjoy watching LIV then good on you!   I pass no judgement on what others find enjoyable.
