cnosil
I’ll admit, I’m watching the event. I watch golf if it is on but don’t generally go out of my way to watch golf, even the majors. I also don’t root for specific players, I just watch the golf. So far it isn’t too bad and I probably couldn’t differentiate th golf from the golf played on any other tour. I kind of like the shotgun start aspect, everyone gets same weather conditions and the running score shows how many holes are left to play. I’d say the announcing, other than the tour hype type commentary isnt too bad. I think it is just American announcers that are terrible, Jerry Foltz is kind of annoying. The others give the event a European event feel. With the teams and draft and trades, it may require a little more attention than I am willing to do since I don’t get how it works across the season. 7 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: mFGP2 Backups: TM-180, Milled Collection RSX 2, Bellum Winmore 787, Directed Force 2.1 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

I get that pros are independent contractors, however there's no other pro sports league that would allow players to hop back and forth that I'm aware of. Maybe soccer does that?? No idea. But if you're in the NFL and that league has backed you, you can't just randomly hop back and forth from there to the CFL. Likewise with the NHL and the KHL. Again - I fully understand that we're talking individuals vs players in another sport that are contracted to their specific franchise. So it's not a true apples to apples comparison. But do see the PGA Tour's POV in all of this. Some pro race car drivers have split time between two series like Fernando Alonso did in the middle of an F1 season when he went to race the Indy 500. Soccer is really the only sport that I can think of that would offer competitive leagues that could be financially viable to players to split time, but then again the players are employees of the clubs that they are signed with and their playing schedules are practically identical, thus not viable to split time. I gotcha. In that case soccer (international competition) and racing kind of do allow you to hop back and forth. IIRC a few years back there was a local WNBA player that would play in a different league overseas in the offseason and report back to her WNBA team for preseason and the regular season. Depends on the contract but it's not completely unheard of. *edit: I completely forgot about the guys from the MLB that go and play in the Domincan, Mexican, and other central American leagues during the offseason. 2 Quote SkyCaddie SX400 Gameday OGIO Silencer: Followed by Arccos King F9, Atmos TS Blue Mavrik 3w, Evenflow Riptide Covert 2.0 5W, 3H, Kuro Kage Black Wilson D7 Irons 4-GW, Dynamic Gold AMT Glide 52, 56 ES ER2 -ProV1x (left dash) Romans 10:9 Classic Bag Jones Collegiate Clemson Stand Bag Eye 2 Laminate, 1,3,5,7 1973 Staff Dynapower 4-PW Original Anser DUO

The difference from other sports may be 1. multi-year contracts where I dont believe MLB/NFL etc are independent contractors and 2. precedent from the tour letting players play across the globe in other tourneys. What really bothers me is restricting Korn Ferry membership. These guys arent paid great and need every opportunity they can get to move up the earnings ladder and play higher quality tournaments.
