I got out yesterday for the last good day of October.  First half went really well even though I was hitting driver poorly.  Then things fell of the rails on 12 and stayed that way and played worse than usual.  Got tired and probably had too many ales to keep it together and duffed most shots.

Got a second round in this week, and it affirms my belief that course rating is not consistent enough. On Monday my course handicap was 3, today it was 7, and the courses are, to me at least, of similar difficulty. Anyway...

Neuman GC, White/Blue Courses (Cincinnati) Black tees, 68.9/111, par 71, course handicap 7

Shot 76 gross, net 69, 2 under. 2 gross birdies (White 8, Blue 5), 3 net birdies, 5 total, long drive 247

I chipped and putted extraordinarily well. One of the gross birdies was a chip in, and I made a few unlikely up and downs.

Whispering Creek \  Gross 77 \ Course handicap 8 \ 5 over gross \ net 69 or a -3 \ 4 gross birdies which don't count for anything but I've never had before.... 3 net birdies or better, and long drive of 265 yards. 

Likely my last round for the year before the hip replacement.  If so, a good way to end it.  But maybe SheWhoMustBeObeyed will let me out one more time...

Sometimes the course rating can seem random at best, I agree, the hardest hole on my course is rated as the #7 handicap hole.  It is just simply wrong.  Good round though - regardless of the rating

4 natural birdies in one round is some stellar play WHT!  Hopefully you will find the time to get out again, but if not, wishing you a speedy recovery on your surgery!

Wasn’t expecting to be able to get out for a round this week, but the stars aligned so that weather was good this afternoon and I had finished work for the week, so I headed out to Homestead Farms. 
 

Played from the blue tees today, so had a course handicap of 15. Gross 91, net 76 for a +4. Long drive was 297, and I had 3 net birdies. 
 

Not a great round, but had a few shots that I’m really happy with, and my putting was good.

For all who have participated so far thank you! We should give a huge shout out to Tim for manually doing all this and really putting a lot of time and effort to making this work and be up to date.

I found this in ShotScope from Thursday's round.  Long drive of 215 on #6, best hit of the day, though it got me in a bit of trouble. Stuck between two trunks with no room for a backswing on either side.  Posted the details in the second image.   Last image is my best hit to date with my 25° Hybrid, really clocked that sucker.  Was on a downhill lie too.  If only I could get that kinda contact with my driver I'd be living large.

I agree @GolfSpy_APH, the "Post Score" form is easy and intuitive, and automatically updates the leaderboards when each score is entered.  We just have a few nits and nats to clean up then we will roll it out for all to use!!

Just returned from what felt like a marathon round at my course.  We had some heavy rainfall yesterday here in Houston, so the course maintenance crew were working hard to make it playable for this morning - but it resulted in a late start and cart paths only....  Just got home... ended up 7.5 hours door to door.  The conditions were tough.. as you can imagine... not a lot of roll, which really put a hitch in my driving distance.  I was driving the ball well today, but my longest drive ended up being 265 - and that was downwind.  On the plus side, I played with some of the other club members that I know are usually longer than me, and I was keeping up with them (Otto Phlex to the rescue), so the conditions were challenging. 

I started out pretty slowly - mostly with my putter... I realistically gave up 4 or 5 shots on the greens - most of them in the first 4 holes.  Bogey, Bogey, Double, Bogey start.  Then I rallied playing the next 13 holes at even par.. but finished bogey, bogey.  It was a shotgun start today, but I ended up with a 42/37 = 79 when all was said and done.

Third round of the week, weather absolutely beautiful with overcast skies  keeping the temp down between 74* - 84*.  Shot 41/44:85 less CH of 13 = 72 less Par 72 = net score Even with a longest drive of 221 yards and 8 net birdies!

After heaps of rain over the last few weeks. We got an hour of sunshine during the round. The greens are very soft and I'm swinging very well so there were a lot of darts being thrown.

Thanks. I just added them up and I hit 15 GIR for the round. That many always helps a low round.

I wasn't sure I was going to post a round this week.  Weather was miserable early in the week; we played on Wednesday but quit after 9 holes because it was mid-40's and 25 mph wind.  I really hated to quit because I shot 39 (+2) after a birdie on the 1st hole, bogey at the 2nd, and bogeys on 8 and 9.  Net birdie on #7.  I felt pretty good only shooting 2 over in the wind when my driver wasn't cooperating very well; putting saved me.

Couldn't play this morning, but got out at 1:15pm behind a tournament on the back nine to complete my 18 holes; front nine was packed!!  Sunny and very little wind!!  Woo Hoo!

ALERT!  ALERT!  Personal Best for the back nine... 33 (-2)  Two birdies on the par 5 #13 and short par 4 #14 (drove the green); and the rest pars. 7 of 9 GIR.  Driver was much better today, but putting sucked; missed other 4 birdie chances.  So...

Yes! You are so right, I had missed three short putts in that front nine. So I was leaking oil and then sunk a 15 footer for eagle to save my round. That's what keeps you coming back

2nd round of the week slightly better. Had a bit of a melt down at 14 and 16, putting 2 balls in the middle of gorse bushes

Another week of golf, 6 rounds total, some good and some not as good but all of it out there where golf is best enjoyed!  Here are the two best rounds 

 

So combined is 90 Raw for +18, handicap still 26 so Net 64 at +8.  I am working at hitting like this as my normal game with a handicap appropriate for that level of play.  Might be on that path with current focus on slowing my backswing but the end of outdoor season is looming so no telling how the gains this year will carry over to next. 

Longest drive this week was 200yards which is not the highest for the year but it is highest for October.  If I count them right number of net birdies is 8 but I am sure
