edingc
As expected, somewhat of a frustrating week training for speed. Definitely out of routine and while I did not overdo myself too much with Thanksgiving food, I certainly have taken care of myself better. I had a really, really good Stack and garage session on Monday working on those feels of getting more width. I hit a couple PRs for different Stack weights and was feeling really good. Of course, I followed that up with an absolutely terrible Stack and garage session on Thanksgiving Day, where I was somehow 5-8 MPH slower across the board. Frustrating. Anyway, today's session was much better again, but still have not really made much progress with the Stack. This has also been reflected in my actual swings, which are stuck at right around 114 MPH with the driver. I have seen a small uptick in 6 iron swing speed (99 MPH is a whole lot easier to obtain now - and I'm maxing out at 102 MPH), and my ball speeds have come up as well. I also threw in a few hybrids to finish off my session. I'm hitting the ball very well right now and am really excited about that. Minus a little left dispersion with the driver I've been very happy with my path/face control. But I also really, really, really want to get to 120 MPH! ejgaudette, THEZIPR23, Vegan_Golfer_PNW and 3 others 6 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 6.1 / Anti-Cap: 12.8 (Last Updated June 4, 2023) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
My speed at the range today was the same as Friday despite better footing. I wonder if I’m not gonna see my true gains until I transition out of muscle building in the gym to more power work? I am one month out from moving to more muscle building as I transition from off-season workout to winter strength which is mostly squats, deadlifts, bench. I think it really helps build a stable core which can really help in the swing. Obviously weight lifting is a big part but running I personally feel has its benefits to the swing. Berg Ryman
Guys, I'm going to bow out of this sadly. I realized while swinging downstairs I have no space to train as even my shortest potential training club, the Rypstick Indoors, is still to long given the natural of our low ceilings in the basement. Hopefully with a house purchase in 2023, and a dream indoor golf setup... unlikely with the wife but ya know, lottery winnings and what not potentially, I'll be able to take part. Fear not though, I am still going to frequent the thread to glean some tips as to what's working though on the fitness side of things because I am doing gym work still. edingc, Getoffmylawn, GolfSpy MPR and 4 others 5 2 Quote In a Hoofer Lite bag ST180, 10.5, Kuro Kage Silver TINI Dual Core 60-S Epic Flash Sub Zero, 15*, Kuro Kage Silver TINI Dual Core 60-S CBX119 18* Hybrid, Project X Evenflow Blue, 6.0 JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro 4-P, Nippon 950GH Stiff Flex CBX Zipcore 50* (bent to *49) and RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 54* (bent to *55), DG 115 Spinner, Tour Issue Smart Sole 4.0 C, DG 115 Spinner, Tour Issue SIK Golf Flo-C Z-Star XV Divide

It was a bit startling when I took out the Smart Sole, took a full swing at like half speed and on extension through the follow through almost took out a nice CFL bulb by the wood stove. Ah well, more time to spend on regular old fitness and pickleball practice. ejgaudette 1 Quote In a Hoofer Lite bag ST180, 10.5, Kuro Kage Silver TINI Dual Core 60-S Epic Flash Sub Zero, 15*, Kuro Kage Silver TINI Dual Core 60-S CBX119 18* Hybrid, Project X Evenflow Blue, 6.0 JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro 4-P, Nippon 950GH Stiff Flex CBX Zipcore 50* (bent to *49) and RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 54* (bent to *55), DG 115 Spinner, Tour Issue Smart Sole 4.0 C, DG 115 Spinner, Tour Issue SIK Golf Flo-C Z-Star XV Divide
