PBH3
This time of year I have a very difficult time seeing the ball in the air even when I switch to yellow balls. Have you found any glasses that can help? Came across these on Amazon and wondering if they work. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09PGKLGHH/ref=twister_B0826L9C8N?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 Quote Driver- Ping G410 Plus 9* Fairway- Tour Edge Exotics EXS 220 3 Wood 16.5* Hybrid- Tour Edge Hot Launch C521 19* & 22* Irons-PXG 0211 DC, 5-GW Wedges- Taylormade Hi Toe 54* & 58* Putter- Ping Sigma G Tyne (Superstroke grip) Ball- Snell MTB-X Maxfli Tour Grips- Golf Pride CP2 Wrap Midsize Bag- Ping Hoofer USA Edition Arccos
ED13
I use Vaurnet sunglasses for golf with a yellow lens. Similar to yellow lens shooting glasses. Only thing that works for me. lisanclark
In terms of glasses that may help, there is specialized sports eyewear designed for various activities such as golf or tennis. These glasses often come with features like polarized lenses or tinted lenses specifically tailored for outdoor sports. Also I have switched to Vice's neon green balls (I used Titleist and Snell yellow before), they track better for me and certainly stand out from much further on the fairway. CudaKota66
Oakley Prizm golf lens is great for reading breaks on greens. I'm aging myself here, but the original BluBlocker sunglasses were actually a 'high definition' lens for a very inexpensive price. That's what the Amazon glasses appear to mimic tony@CIC 1 Quote Epic Flash King F8 3W & F9 Baffler G425 4i-PW CBX2 50/54/58 Pro V1X or Tour Response (thanks to MGS testing)
Shlax
I have had issues playing golf with sunglasses due to not being able to properly track the ball in flight (unfortunately, it’s not because I drive 350+ yds). I have many pairs of Oakley shades with Prizm lens, casual and sport models, and I simply loose the ball mid flight irrespective of it it’s sunny or cloudy. I bought Under Armour Halftime Tuned Golf sunglasses which are supposedly designed for golf and it’s the same thing. No matter the brand or model (Nikon, Ray Ban, Von Zipper) I found that polarized lenses are the worst for ball tracking. I often don’t even see the ball launch. I play golf without sunglasses only because of this problem whereas I wear sunglasses the second I step outside in other aspects of my life. Am I the only one that has experienced this issue and has somebody found lenses that accentuate ball tracking ability? OssiansFolly
It may sound crazy, but try green balls if they are offered in the brand you play. Green is the easiest and largest spectrum of color for the human eye to see. Also, try not to get polarized sunglasses...they generally hurt your ability to see fine details in sports. MEstep
They don't help me see the ball in flight but I have stumbled upon (because my wife thinks she's funny...) this ball and lens color combo. Oakley Field Prizm - red tint with a Callaway Matte Red ball. I know: Matte balls don't spin, don't perform like my [fill in the blank ball]. Everyone who doubts me about that combo I just hand them my sunglasses and tell them to just look. They see that glowing Matte Red ball in the rough (yes rough because I have a slice and I rarely hit from the fairway hence my funny wife) and agree with me. I will take all the flak for playing that "ugly red ball" but I find mine. Side note - Pro V1 Yellow Balls show (ironically I found it when I was looking for a sliced ball into the woods) up almost as well. Played in a scramble a few weeks back and for the first time in my life I used only one ball. I can thank my Field Prizm lenses on a couple shots. P.S. Don't tell my wife any of this... I don't want her to know she was right about me needing the "easy to find balls." (Honestly I have played more, but prefer and can afford those). - Greatest Golf accomplishment thus far: Played an entire 18 (it was a scramble so I am not sure if you would count it or not) with the same Yellow Titleist ProV1. Headhammer
I'm saddened that I can relate to losing the ball in the air. Anything over 170 yards and I am totally lost as to where the ball landed. Maybe time to switch to a colored ball. Hook DeLoft
The first generation of the Srixon Z Star that was offered in yellow was by far the easiest ball for me to see in the air. Unfortunately, they changed the color slightly in the next generation and it and succeeding generations aren't nearly as easy to see. That first generation had a finish that almost sparkled.
