Which are the best golf content monthly magazines?

Besides GD and G, what other bi-monthly or monthly magazines are worth looking at?  G is starting to get too expensive and yes, budget is a concern. I'm shying away from it because much of the ads displayed, and articles written are frankly way out of my cost envelop. I'll never buy a $200 bottle of booze or a $500 outfit and surely will never fly on a private jet. I'm looking for a reasonable article filled magazine about golf and those things about golf, that I might be interested in and might actually be able to afford. Open to suggestions and thanks for your thoughts.

It's not monthly but quarterly. However a great read and something to hold onto but the golfers journal is top tier.

For golf related content, I would be remiss if I didn't suggest the threads here in the Mygolfspy Forum  . 

Aside from that and GD and G magazines, I also enjoy Golf Week.  But most of my media "golf fix" comes from the Golf Channel (Golf Central and Golf Today programs mostly - but also "Live From" programs during larger tour events).

All those reasons you state are why the only golf magazines I get are gifts people give me at giving times.  My golf reading is all from online sources from such subscriptions as SwingU Premium, Stick & Hack club features, Instagram/Facebook/YouTube, and such sources.

I agree completely, Golfers Journal is the only golf magazine that I pay for.  Very little advertising, outstanding photography, and great writing.  There's no equipment ads disguised as reviews or ratings, there's no travel ads, there's no repetitive swing instruction.  On the other hand, the OP feels that budget is important to him, and at $80 per year for 4 issues, this may not be the right choice for him.  Still, its a great magazine.  If anyone would like to subscribe, I'll be glad to provide a referral code which will get both him and I an extra issue.

It is The Golfers Journal and then everybody else.

Nothing else is worth the paper it is printed on
