Peaksy’s Old School Holiday Bag

Here’s my old school bag that lives in my in-laws holiday apartment in Queensland. Only get to use it once or twice a year, but it’s easier than lugging my normal bag, and I really don’t wa t to part with most of these.

Driver- Nickent 4DX

Fairways - TM Burner 08 3 & 5 woods

Hybrid - TM Burner 22 degrees 

Irons - Ben Hogan Apex Eddie Pro 5-E

Wedges - Scor 4161 49,53,57

Putter - Ram Zebra

 

 

 

 

The Wedges are the newest, irons the oldest. I don’t think I’ll ever move the the irons on. Owned them since 2003, and they still perform. The wedges will last as long as they can, grooves will eventually give way. I wish they were still available, turf interaction is unequalled. The driver can still get it out there, a design that was ahead of its time.

Nice, nice bag - 

I used to always play at least one round a year with my old Ping Eye 2 irons - I sold them about 3 years ago and still have moments when I morn that loss.  If I could find new SCORs I'd buy them in a heartbeat.  Nothing that TK has produced since has felt or performed the same.  I still have a 52 and 56 that move in and out of my bag depending on what else is going on.  The claims on all of his wedge releases are always better trajectory control and dispersion - I have so much better control of the SCORs than any other wedge that I've hit that it's not even funny and I'm a great chipper with the 52 - it's about to make its way back into my bag after yesterday's round BTW.

Very sweet bag Peaksy.  Like RevKev, I too have the SCOR 4161’s in 41/45/49/54/57.  Currently the 54* & 57* are in my bag and doing great, complimenting my T300’s.  I also like  the Zebra……great putter and the Hogan Apex Edge…..Take care of those clubs.
