Next up! Callaway Chrome soft. A ball that has got a lot of attention over the years. Was this year's version any better? Callaway put a ton of money into improving the quality control.

What do you think? Is this your gamer? Would you consider making the switch?

Bridgestone Tour B RXS Ball Lab results are in! What do you think? Have you tried or tested this golf ball?

https://mygolfspy.com/bridgestone-tour-b-rxs-review-2022/

I am intrigued by the whole Tour B line by Bridgestone.  I know that the RXS is sponsored by Freddie, so how can that be a bad thing?  I recently put a "found" RX into play and I didn't hate it - if I can hit it like Lexi - I'm good with that!!  Thinking about giving the XS a shot... it performed well in the low and mid swing speed testing during the MGS '21 Ball Test... and I believe that was the prior model... but based on the testing, the XS provided a lot of pop for slower swingers (similar to the left dash it appears), even though it is touted as an "above 105" ball by Bridgestone.  I have mentioned it on various threads... but I'm a Bridgestone fanboy from WAY back... not sure why I haven't given their ball selection a go before now.

I used to play the XS and always liked it. Biggest reason for going away from it was I wanted to save money and it allowed me to try some firmer balls from different brands.

There are so many options with golf balls it can be really difficult to decide. At least for me as much as performance matters, price plays a huge factor and definitely like balls such as the Tour Response as they are great value for the money.

You bring up a great point, If Freddie can play the ball, how can that be a bad thing! Agreed!  With winter upon us and weather getting colder, I'm going to try a lower compression ball & will try the B RXS again.  MyGolfSpy does a great job with ball testing! I've tried the Taylor Made TourResponse, good ball, doesn't spin much but a good feel to the ball. Prefer to Taylormade TP5.   But will now try B RXS, good enough for Freddie LOL!

Anyone else think the ProV1 feels harder in cold weather? I stop using the ball in winter months.

A real up and down year for the Big B with arguably the two most popular balls in the line (XS and RX) fairing pretty bad in the lab and the two others doing better, although only average. Interested to see if we see a revamp in 2023 and as a former XS player, it might be nice.

I've never really played Bridgestone to be fair. A few times I've found one and put it on play later, however I've always gravitated towards other golf balls.

I rolled with the 2018 version of the ball, bought on discount in the COVID time and liked it a good deal. Being honest, one of my potential 2023 balls may be going for the 2020 version in yellow with will likely get to the $40 price point if a 2023 revamp is announced. I'm a low spin guy through most of the bag so the added spin is nice on the irons and wedges. It may not be ideal on the driver, with my lower launch it can help keep things in the air for longer.

Based on the overall score, the XS is pretty average at 73 and RX a little worse at 69. I'd certainly like to see better results from Bridgestone (Tour B X included), but I'm not disappointed. I'm sure they aren't pouring money into golf balls like Callaway, Titleist, and Taylormade - I wish they would, but it makes little sense given their market share.

Well, that's the 2020 version of the ball Tr1ptik, the 2022 went for 59's for both the RX and XS which is stunning to me.

My father in law has this as his go to golf ball. Loves it and for him when he made the switch found some added distance and improvement.

I've really enjoyed seeing "value" balls being part of this as I do believe many of us fall into the category of using them!

I know many others who really enjoyed the previous version of this ball for its spinny characteristics. Did you play this ball and would you consider switching to a Mizuno golf ball?

Definitely plan on playing these for some time (though I might experiment with Snell again). Being able to pick these up locally is such a huge bonus for me. I know some other DTC brands can be found in stores, but you can't get the bulk pricing which kind of defeats the purpose.

We have another Ball Lab that just got dropped!

I know many others who really enjoyed the previous version of this ball for its spinny characteristics. Did you play this ball and would you consider switching to a Mizuno golf ball?

This is my ball for 2023. So far it is outperforming PV1s when I play them head to head on the course. Two balls from the same lie or two drives on the same hole. Save $10+ per dozen without a drop off in performance? I’m sold.

Glad to see the new Maxfli ball is still very good when it comes to quality, really interested to see how it performs in the ball test. I loved the Maxfli that I was lucky enough to test for MGS, hope they didn't hurt it.

The new site kicking off with a highly anticipated golf ball!

https://mygolfspy.com/labs/ball-lab-maxfli-tour-2023-review/

Are these on your short list for 2023? Of they were here is Switzerland they certainly would be for me!

I bought a dozen each of the Maxfli Tour and Tour X last season.  Still have a sleeve of each left in my bag.  Anyone else curious about the drop in the compression from the 2019 models?  I wonder what the 2023 Tour X compression is coming in at.  Hopefully they do a Ball Lab on the Tour X soon too.

Also, the 2019 Tour and 2019 Tour X have the same compression... 🤔

Can't wait to give these a try.  As someone who looks at the Vice line because I tend to lose too many balls for my liking now that I don't swing nearly as often, this seems like it will be a good option that is a lot more readily available in my area instead of waiting 7-10 days for shipping from Vice.
