Maybe the one we have all been looking forward to!

https://mygolfspy.com/labs/ball-lab-titleist-pro-v1-2023-review/

Arguably the most popular and best Ball in Golf, but how did it stack up this year?

Here you will find updates from all the ball lab series that come out for MGS. Let us know what you think of the results and what are the golf balls you want to see most come to the lab series?

I sound like a broken record but ODIN Golfballs, I would love to see done. I’ve been using them for about a year and a half now and it’s hard to pull me away!

The new site kicking off with a highly anticipated golf ball!

https://mygolfspy.com/labs/ball-lab-maxfli-tour-2023-review/

Are these on your short list for 2023? Of they were here is Switzerland they certainly would be for me!

I would probably give these a go too, but so far they're not available in Finland.

WITB: TaylorMade M2 driver (2017), Adams Tightlies 16deg fw, Wilson Staff 21deg hybrid, 4-PW Wilson FG Tour Forged V2 irons, Rommy Armour 52 and 60 deg, Wilson Staff 56deg, Seemore putter.

Starting the 2023 season with a 28.4 HCP.

Also, the 2019 Tour and 2019 Tour X have the same compression... 🤔

copy and paste from article, says 7 points softer than 2019.  [  On our gauge, the Maxfli Tour has an average compression of 85. That’s effectively the same as the previous version and about seven points softer than the 2019 model. Balls with similar compression include the Bridgestone Tour B XS and the Wilson Triad. ]

I had stocked up a bit on the previous version RB Tour, have you tried the old version as well? What are your thoughts on the new version - specifically durability?

Night and day difference. I’ve used one for 18 holes once just to see if it would hold up and it did just fine. I don’t normally play a ball more than 9 holes but I was impressed with its durability over 18 holes. And my ability to not lose it, lol. The old version wouldn’t last more than 3-4 holes and spun way too much. I’ve played this and the ProV1 side by side and couldn’t tell any difference with short irons and 50 yards and in.

I haven't tried the new Mizuno balls yet. The old model spun unlike anything I'd ever hit and was just too much. I hear that has been resolved with the new model so I'm interested in giving them a go at some point this year.

You should. I think you will be impressed. The only reason I don't play the Z Star is I don't like the feel off the club face.

Love the Srixon Z star divide ball.
I never thought I would as it’s half white and half yellow, they ran out of all white so I took a gamble, my scores have got better due to its spin control with approach, chips and bunker play.
Added bonus, no more faded and redoing line on ball, the divide makes it so easy to line up putts.

I go back and forth between the Z Star Diamond and the Mizuno RB Tour. Z Star feels a tad harder on contact but can’t say why considering they have the same compression. Might just be a difference in the cover? Regardless, I too am a Diamond fan and this article affirms why I like it so much.

I was very close to doing a bulk order on these as they seemed to be the best deal around. Very glad I did not and will be spending the extra 3 or 4 bucks a dozen to get the Vice pro instead!

Anyone else gaming these? They had me really intrigued and I thought they were more along the lines of the older Nike golf balls... very cool insights and a little sad to see these perform so poorly.

When I saw this come through the lab, you were the first person I thought of @GolfSpy_APH. Basically, what have we learned today? Stay away from balls out of Vietnam seemingly. Be interested to see what that means to the PXG Ball as that's where that's getting manufactured as well I do believe.

When I saw this come through the lab, you were the first person I thought of @GolfSpy_APH. Basically, what have we learned today? Stay away from balls out of Vietnam seemingly. Be interested to see what that means to the PXG Ball as that's where that's getting manufactured as well I do believe.

I can see where you are going with that statement. However, aren’t Bridgestone balls made there? I thought they normally have decent reviews?

Well, kinda. The newest versions weren't the hottest in Ball Lab, comparatively speaking. I know the latest B XS was sub average in the latest version.

Thanks, I find it pretty interesting that their quality has dipped.

I would be a liar if I said I had tried them all but out of Pro V1 , V1X, TP5, TP5X , Tour Response, several version of the Chrome balls and the Supersoft also the Bridgestone RXS has been by far the best ball for me and the BX a close second. I do need to try the MaxFli once I figure out which version is the best version for me.

Next up! Callaway Chrome soft. A ball that has got a lot of attention over the years. Was this year's version any better? Callaway put a ton of money into improving the quality control.

What do you think? Is this your gamer? Would you consider making the switch?

Just used it yesterday and I like it. Was great off the tee and seemed to do well around the greens. Gonna continue to use it and see where it goes.

The new site kicking off with a highly anticipated golf ball!

https://mygolfspy.com/labs/ball-lab-maxfli-tour-2023-review/

Are these on your short list for 2023? Of they were here is Switzerland they certainly would be for me!

I tried the Maxfli Tour X. Kept hitting bad tee shots. Went back to my Chrome Soft. Would this one not have as much driver spin? Willing to give it a go if so.

I've been playing the X for some time now and must have been lucky and got a good batch.
The only thing I've noticed is that the cover seems to get dirty/scuffed pretty easily.
