Thanks in advance.

Dave Edel of Edel Golf is in Tx. He custom fits his putters. PXG will fit you to one of their putters at their stores.  There is one in Plano.  Golftec will do a fitting and analysis.

The only two bits that should feel comfortable are my putter and my bag. Never getting rid of my custom Shapland.

The Scotty Cameron Newport is staying put in the bag.  Everything else is up for grabs including the ball.

There will be a fitting at Club Champion sometime after the first of the year and we'll go from there.  My irons and wedges are seven seasons old, and the driver is 8.    It's time.

Funny for many it's either putter is a definitely lock for maybe life or always on the block. Not as much in between.

I went to a Club Champion with Veteran golf event and had chance to roll many putts with the dozens of putters they had lining the walls around their indoor putting green.  From that experience I noted what worked for me and even which one of the design that worked for me.  Luck had it I was selected to test one of those that rolled amazingly well and it is now my primary putter displacing my first ever putter that by a pleasant surprise has all of the same qualities the new one, the main difference being the design of the grip and it has a graphite shaft.  Can't recommend enough having as many putters to try as possible including what you don't usually think will work with as much time as possible to relax and just see what they will do when you can focus on making your putt.

WOW, nice handi @NoRebound with clubs that old……I feel like a diva. Interested to hear about your progress with new tech (irons & driver) or do you go back to what’s comfy and known.

I splurged on a TSi3 driver last winter and then picked up a Sim 2 Max 3 wood halfway through this year with a killer deal/trade-in combo from global golf, so my bag is safe for the coming season. Now as far as additions...that may be a different story! 😉

Absolutely safe: Driver, 5W, irons incl. PW & AW

Somewhat safe: 56 & 60

Definitely on the chopping block: 3W.

I was fit for the current 3W but given how uncertain it feels in my hand and the poor consistency I have in hitting it clean off the turf, I cannot for the life of me figure out how this was the club I landed on during fitting.

Not that it's a club to club comparison, but I went from a TM M4 that I really struggled with off the turf to a TM Sim 2 Max that towards the end of the season here in WI felt much easier to get the flight I wanted off the deck. Hardest club to hit in my bag, without question!

At this point, I'm willing to try anything. I'm long enough off the tee where a 3W really doesn't serve me very often as an approaching club, so I tend to use it most often as a club-down driver. But every now and then I'll thin a driver and need it, and then don't feel confident hitting it off the turf. Or because the weighting feels weird, I heel or toe it off the tee and I'm nowhere near the distance I needed from it when considering it as an alternative to the driver.

It's just a messy club that I can't wait to replace.

My 3W is relatively minimal use as well. There's a couple holes where I use it off the tee at my local course because of hole layout, but I will pull it on par 5s if I don't get a great tee shot and the Sim2 Max has performed much better for me in those situations than my M4 ever did. Good luck with your search! I've intentionally been keeping myself away from golf shops so that I don't try out the new TSR woods 😂

All clubs in my bag are safe for the foreseeable future, but the grips are likely to get axed sooner rather than later. The standard PXG grips just aren't my favorite and I really want to go back to the SuperStroke Claw grip on the putter. The one questionable spot in the bag is the 3W, not because I have a problem with it, but more that at my usual course, I don't have a lot of need for it. There are a number of holes where driver and 3W off the tee are too long because of the dog legs, but only one hole where driver is too long off the tee, so the 3W sees at most usually two shots a round. I like the 3W and can usually hit it fine, but unless I start going to some other courses frequently, it's just an extra weight in the bag for the most part. One thing I really need to do for the upcoming season is decide on a single ball and use it consistently instead of changing every few rounds to "try something different".

Hate to say it, but the coach I had been working with is definitely on the chopping block as of now.

I was looking for that gap filler between driver and irons early in the 2022 season and I never had a good rapport with a 3W or any other W.  Had been gifted the Tommy Armour #3 19* fairway hybrid a couple years before as graduation gift for a PGA HOPE Veteran golf clinic and decided it was time to give it a try.  Pulled it out of the spares bag and peeled off the plastic and took it to the course.  Wasn't long before it was doing exactly what I had hoped it would, and fit that distance between Driver and 3i very nicely .  Even connected once off fairway turf to a distance I have never hit driver figuring it must have found a rock or something to bounce off...  Only mentioning it as you are looking to replace and as clubs go it is a lightweight in the bag. 🏌️‍♂️

Overhauled my bag last season so most clubs are safe. My Adams Idea Pro Black hybrid is probably on the way out for something I can hit in the 210-220 range that will hold a green. I’m also looking at a Sub70 699U utility iron to have a non-driver option off the tee on windy days. I’d have to get fit for the utility iron. I’ve never hit one, and I have no idea whether to match my iron shafts or hybrid shaft.

The only clubs safe in my bag are my wedges (Full-Toe 54° and 58°, JAWS Raw 48°) and a miraculously effective recent addition, a 19° Cobra RadSpeed One-Length hybrid. A 24° is also on the way but that's still to be determined. My Ping G425 Max 5W has a shot too. But amazingly, inexplicably, the little one-length hybrid hits it nearly as far as 5W. I know, seems impossible. So time will tell there.

Driver's been a revolving door. Gotta give my TM 300 Mini another shot. Was money before another back injury in May. Since, curiosity took me in different directions.

Irons? I bought a new set of Apex 21 to replace my Apex CF-16 and after just 3 rounds, swapped them out for my set of Ping i500 that I never did give a proper chance. You know, just like the Apex 21? Yeah, so obviously, nothing's settled there.

Putter?

Was 3-putting like a lunatic with my Sik DW, ordered an $834 putter (personal record, by far. Right... WTH was I thinking?! . L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Max, platinum head with white BGT Polar Stability Tour 2 shaft), only to put my Directed Force Reno 2.1 back in the bag and subsequently light things up on the greens. Always putt better with the DF 2.1, but the look of it had gotten in my head. Owned one since 2018, never bothered me before the last couple of years.

Too late to cancel the order!

Driver, 3W, and putter are safe (at least for this week), as is my old Cleveland 2H.

Sim2 4H is marginal, as are irons. I've had the irons for 23 years, but don't dislike them. I haven't used my 4H enough to make a good decision

Wedges need to be replaced, or faces need to be worked on. I've had them for a long time.

When my wife asked if I wanted to leave Maine and move to where she grew up, I couldn't say no to Pinehurst, NC. I honestly don't spend much money on golf equipment, but I'm constantly reading reviews in case I ever get ready to buy

I swing left handed and have been the State of Maine Left Hander's champion since 1997, the last year they held the tournament. I'm currently a 7.1 handicap. Trying to get lower, but my gut gets in the way.

I'm going for a full bag fitting on Saturday at Club Champion (they had a deal where the full bag fitting was $100 with purchase so taking advantage of that)

Driver - will be replaced, the reason I booked the fitting
3 wood - only 1.5 years old, but stock so could be replaced
2i - impulse purchase when they were released over the summer....doubt it gets replaced (5 or 7 wood?), maybe different shaft
Irons - safe, purchased/fitted at GolfTech in Oct 2020. Probably just get the lie/lofts checked
Wedges - safe, purchased over the summer, but stock...I will get the fitting info for the next round of wedges
Putter - safe, purchased January 2022, but possible adjust lie/loft.  Definitely getting a bigger grip put on

Bag: Big Max Dri Lite Summit Black/Red
Driver: Callaway GBB Epic - Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green Small Batch "Hulk"
3 Wood: Callaway Epix Max - Aldila Ascent Red
2 Iron: TaylorMade Stealth UDI - LA Golf A Series Hybrid
4-AW Irons: TaylorMade P790 - KBS Tour 120g Stiff (1/4" long, 2* upright)
54* & 58* Wedges: Callaway Jaws MD5
Putter: Mizuno M Craft I Blue
Ball: Vice Pro Plus

Update - no new clubs, but I am getting a new shaft in the driver, 3 wood, and 2i.  Also adjusted the lie of the putter (it was sitting open by 2* at address, which explains a lot lol) and tossed on a new grip.

.... Hahaha none of my clubs are safe and I like it that way. Of course they talk to each other and know there is no "time out" just permanent replacement so they are all on their best behavior. Even worse some are pulled out a couple times a year and teased like my Z Forged MB's but know they are going right back in the Room Of Misfit Toys. That said:

Other than MIM's being replaced by Cobra King Tour irons and always the potential for my Sim2 to lose it's place after taking on all challengers successfully for 2 years now, I can't really see any other clubs being replaced. Of course anything is possible.

Took my 50 54 & 56 wedges out of my bag and replaced them with the new Zipcore 48 52 & 56 wedges.  After today's round I'm a happy camper. 😍

Wedges are safe, I have 2 putters which I change out blade vs mallet depending on how I am playing. Driver is on the chopping block and while I love my irons I am open to tinkering

With the new Mizuno wedges I am seriously considering going to swap out my Ping Glides for them. Will need to find them here, but it's that style of wedge that seems to really fit my ideals.

My swing by the shop on Thursday and see what new they have in and what is available in lefty for testing.
