Announcing 2023 My Golf Spy Outing-Pinehurst Area

First lesson of the year yesterday.  A nine hole playing lesson.

Have been in a little bit of funk the last few months for a variety of reasons, but recently I have had flashes of brilliance interspersed with moments of agony.  Sunday was a good example:  5 double bogeys and 4 birdies to shoot 79.  Was either perfect or god awful.

The lesson just pointed out that I was falling back in to some my old tendencies again despite having worked hard to fix.

Would like my game to be in top form for the Pinehurst Trip, so creating a practice plan and will be working towards that goal.

Well we're in for rain all weekend.  With the ground already liquified here looks like I've got another week of wait before my "Pinehurst practice rounds" begin.

At least it is 72* and sunny here today. But as usual it is a workday. Fri, Sat, and Sun well, you know rain and, in the 50's.  Praying for a rain pattern shift!

Tom, I think the real question is... when are you going to sneak over there in advance of the outing to do "intel" on the course?  Maybe a round with the pro so he can show you all the places "to" and "not to" hit it... haha.

Maybe not too early.   There is the whole wardrobe scripting thing that needs to happen.   Do you want to match someone else or show your own personal style.   I think that comes down to the head to head competitions and will it be team based on individual based.   Lot and lots of planing….I thing we are already behind.

I think many guys know that I play these courses pretty regularly on my yearly (or more often) visits to my place at Talamore.  For the right price, I'd be glad to provide some intel.

I just finished another round of course flyovers. Mid-South is going to be a ball buster. I got to hone my game a little more before I venture over there. Too early in the season to torture myself!

I think I may just wear camo on the tee boxes so the people in the next zip code won't see who just missed the fairway by an entire county.
