That's ok with me. Then they can charge a golf ball per advice tip.  This way they won't feel as bad losing golf balls.

TBH, there really aren't many secrets to playing any of these courses.  At Talamore, at all costs avoid the small number of revetted bunkers.  Stay out of the pinestraw everywhere.  Plan to putt from off the green pretty regularly, the fairways are mowed pretty tight. 

Non-golf advice, Barbecue is PORK, anything else is something else, and the bbq sandwich at Talmore is pretty good.  If you're there on the right day (I think Friday is one) go to the (free) pig-pickin at the Talamore clubhouse, I think that's included as your trip is booked through Talamore Travel.  Buy the Caddieshack hat at Talamore.  Have fun!

Just an update, had a tetxt from @MDGolfHacker asking if spots are still open.   So looks like he's trying to see if ti can work with his new job role. 

And the answer was yes...Still 4 spots open!

Leave Thursday night after work.  Drive to Maryland, spend the night play an early morning round at my place, then we can all hit the road by noon or so, and be there by 5:00

Well, I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but after attempting to be someone who has a part of the group, and originally saying no, and then saying yes, I've moved back to no. I just can't make the numbers work with other things the wife and I have planned for the year, and hoping to purchase our home.

I'm super bummed guys, and I'm sorry. Have not too much fun with or without me.

Sorry to hear that you won't be able to make the trip. But buying a home comes first. Good luck on your house hunting.

Still flying under the radar, $C note every payday until May  gets it done.

Planning for a stop at my brother's place in Cary NC on Thursday night and Sunday on the way back, travel days Thursday and Monday.  Those kinds of drives get into the blood like an immovable force.

Been off the radar for a bit. Just got back from Hilton Head and Pinehurst for 10 days. Played Talamore (the only one I haven't played on our list) and it was a fun course. Looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of months.

Ok. Jeff automatically gets assessed a 2 stroke penalty before the Talamkre Rouen for an unauthorized practice round

... Skipping authorization?!? I would check his middle school grades. They are in his permanent record just like our teachers told us and he seems the type to have ignored that warning.

I am willing to forgive the transgression, but I need to be in your group when we play  and you need to help me navigate successfully around the course.
