GaryF
Have been shopping for irons and really like Mizuno 923Hm, but then suggested I should try the Wilson, so hit the Staff CB with kbs 95 gram shaft and pretty good results, 5000ish backspin, 142-147 carry with ball speed around 102+/-. It’s a 34 degree loft and only a few yards shorter (sim) than the delofted 923. Anyone game there or have experience with them? Opinions? GolfSpy_APH
I have only ever heard good things about them. That being said never experienced hitting them myself. My experience is via most wanted testing and I always find the Wilson irons to be some of the best I hit during the testing. The only potential drawback would be that they aren't as long as some of the other irons that are in the same category; which is probably due to club lofts. edingc 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

Thanks, I’ll look under the testing tab for more info. I recall a number of comments about the D9s and when I was hitting the Miz I was very inconsistent (me, not the clubs). The CBs seem to be for better players so was a bit surprising he had me hit them. Im anxious to try them again when I haven’t been on a 4 wk layoff. cnosil 1 Quote Driver: Fusion, 9 deg, UST Recoil 450 ES F3/2 430 MAX 4w (5w head delofted 1* with 3w shaft), 7w, 5h w/ Alta CB Soft Regular shaft JPX923 HM 6i - GW w/ UST Recoil 460 ESX F3 RTX6 52* and 56* with Recoil 760 ESX F2 Versa DB DoubleWide : Z-Star Tour
edingc
Tried the CBs last year during my Club Champion fitting and they were nice. On par with the Mizuno 223s in my opinion. Personally liked the Srixon ZX7s more than both the Wilsons and Mizunos. Wilson is very underrated. The only reason I didn't get them was because of supply and shipping issues. They are soft, pure irons, ideal for someone who wants to work on ball striking and for whom distance is not an issue. AntLockyer
They look superb, if I didn't get fitted for Titleist I would have considered the Wilsons.
