Embarrassing hole in one?

I was one group behind the best sr player in the country and heard he hit a bad, bad shot WAY right into trees on a par three only to have it bounce around and fall onto the green into the hole......

I had one on a 165y that I usually use a 7i but hard rain and wind made me try a low draw 3i as an experiment to get to the back left pin, which then rolled into the hole. It didnt make the paper so I didnt have to face it....

Like my dad always says. We can work on pretty when we get good. He hit a ace in a similar situation, but his didnt come off the ground more than 3feet but it was still a 1 on the score card, and at the end of the round that is all that matters.

I thought I was going to get my first hole in one yesterday during the scramble. It hit 5 inches in front of the hole and backed up. But the good news was I did not have to by drinks for the other 39 participants.

Congrats RPII, great story, but you forgot to say it was an "easy swing" and into a hurricane force wind.
