LA Golf has a new putter claiming to be ground breaking. However, the cost is also  just as ground breaking. Not sure I would go there, would you?

Wait. You can COLOR the individual pieces???? GROUND BREAKING TECHNOLOGY!!!!!

I'm not sure I understand how they can justify the cost - I know they will TRY to justify it (something something DeChambeau something), but still...wow.

I had the opportunity to roll one and it does roll the ball well.   The best description I heard was that it looks like trex decking material and as a result it doesn't look very polished.

Would I buy one;  No.

Since you actually had hands on one, does it come off the face faster and more stable? That’s what they claim with the inverted groove face design.

Only hit about 10 putts with it;  should get some additional testing next week.   I had good distance control but I can't say it is any better than any other putter in the market.  People use the term "stable" to describe the new graphite shafts and since it has an LA Golf shaft people would probably say it is stable.   I personally don't understand how that term applies; what do you mean by stable?  Any putter that fits your stroke would be stable.

I'd have to say no, I would not spend $2500 for a whole set of clubs let alone a putter.   I can't imagine my putting stroke being able to truly take advantage of the stated breakthroughs.

Plus, I'd be distracted by constantly worrying every time I played that someone would stealing it from my bag!

I was only quoting what they said on the golf channel as far as stable. I agree with your assessment. I think it is a gimmick to justify using different materials and then calling it ground breaking. I believe hood putters can putt with anything. Heck Lee Trevino hustled people using a coke bottle as the putter head.

Nope. Not even for a tour issue Scotty. 😉

ok… maybe for THE Scotty. But if that ever was up for auction it would sell for way over my max bid.

So, out of pure curiosity I sent an email to them and asked if they gave any military discount. They offered a 25 percent discount. Still not biting! Then I asked the price if I did not want to change the color and only wanted the standard putter with a length and lie adjustment. They told me they could do that for $1500. Still a no, but heck I already have them down a grand, ha ha.

HELL NO.  You can put all the tech into a putter but until you change my arms, my shoulders, my feet, my eyes, my brain and decision making skills on the greens it wont matter!

I can't imagine a putter with more tech, craftsmanship, and personal attention than the Edel EAS.. and for $450, that's pricey but worth it.

I purchased the mallet version of this putter last year, going to be honest, it's sitting in my garage gathering dust. The feel of it was not good. Too hard when hitting the ball, felt like you were hitting the ball with something super stiff and super hard. The feel was just off for me.

I have gone through a lot of putters in my golf life (currently have 4 putters in the rotation) and I'm "tempted" to get another one.  My problem with putting has nothing to do with the putter, it is the six inches between the ears that is my major problem.  When I begin to have a confidence problem, I rotate to another putter in the quiver and the problem with putting is solved for a few months.  To me it has very little to do with the actual putter club and more to do with one's mind.  Don't waste your money on such an expensive putter, get some mental help! Or, have a few less expensive putters in your putter rotation when you need to look at something different while putting, helping to put your mind at ease.  Heck, I purchased a customized putter last year with custom colors, weights and shaft and it's in rotation with the other putters in my quiver.

LA Golf has a new putter claiming to be ground breaking. However, the cost is also  just as ground breaking. Not sure I would go there, would you?

can buy a can of spray paint in any color I want for about $3.00 so why would I or anyone else pay $2500 for a paint job?  Not sure how Paint that has been around for thousands of years can be called ground breaking technology?  This is just one more reason I think L.A. Golf has their heads up their butts.

All my clubs are custom built with aftermarket shafts that have been spine and FLO aligned for max performance every swing.
