I wanted to record the session for future reference but not to be.... Can I use Rapsodo without internet access so I can sync at home, is anyone doing this? The only thing I can think of that would generate that much data would be uploading the videos. As far as will it work without internet, the easiest way to find out would be to disable internet services and see if it functions. You could also see if your range has wifi and try to jump onto that. Otherwise I would see if you can disable video in the settings, personally I don't see a ton of value in recording every single shot. If you know what your swing fault is that you're trying to correct you can record a few at the beginning, check the video and then come back to it later in the session and see if you've corrected it. It does consume a lot of drive space on my phone though. This can be cleared by clearing the data for the app. Provided everything has synced, you won't lose any data. Also, make sure your settings are set to only sync over Wi-Fi - guessing you have it set up to sync over cellular signal? This is definitely not needed. In the beginning it was more frustration than anything else due to connectivity issues. After a couple software/firmware updates though, those issues have mostly been solved. I use my unit almost every day on the range, and it works great now. The distances are extremely accurate, including chip shots down to about 7-8 yards. I shoot the target flags on the range with my range finder, and then fire away at them. The Rapsodo is spot on every time. The impact camera works great, and is very helpful for some. And the shot tracer works extremely well also. It rarely misses a shot, and when it does, it's typically due to lighting - including the sun going in and out of clouds. Overall extremely happy with the unit - for the cost, it cannot be beat. You do not need WIFI - You only need cellular. With cellular you can use the range, simulation, and also the Combines. Once you are on WIFI, it will sync all of your data and it will be stored for you, I believe up to 10,000 hours, or something like that. I use all these functions at the range on a regular basis. Ive also joined a few facebook Rapsodo pages, and there is a lot of crying going on there as lots of people dont seem to be able to make them work correctly. Spin numbers without the dotted ball... well yea.. obviously why they use the balls. And most agree that the spin numbers with the dotted ball are very good indeed, almost spot on with a CG Quad I do believe there will be a pretty good learning curve for connectivity and connecting with E6, or awesome golf. But we are getting pretty techie here with quite a complex unit. Maybe it’s because it’s still a fairly new and untested unit… I think that's the reason mate.
