What's Your Go To Hat?

I recently got some new hats and without question one has become my go to, not only for golf but for life in general. Its been colder out and with working on the ice nearly all day covering my head really helps keep me warmer. 

Prior to these I had a Nike Vapor hat that was my go to and one I used nearly all the time. However after some pre christmas shopping a new one has hardly left my head. 

It is a NLU hat that is super comfortable and really a great product. 

Now my little guy his go to went for a OG MGS hat that I do love, but seems just a bit big for my head. 

So what is your Go To Hat? Or do you not wear one? Or better do you simply just have too many to decide from?

Off the top of my head, the number one go to is a Richardson Model 810 that shades rain as well as it does sun, and what surprised me is despite the dark blue color it is one of the coolest hats to wear in the summer.  This is all important when one chooses a hairstyle kept so short your kids call you bald.

The days when a cap is preferred the go to choices are ususally PGA HOPE and two in particular of the 6 different designs in my hat box.

(Yes going there again  we write in the forums perhaps not crazy amounts like @GolfSpy_APH  @GolfSpy_BOS or @GolfSpy_SAMbut by golly we write!)

The FootJoy Heritage Patch Cap was my go to hat this past golf season. Super lightweight, super stretchy, and super comfortable. I also picked up a Titleist Tour Performance cap towards the end of the golf season that will be staple in the rotation this coming season. I sweat profusely, so I should have 3 of each so I don't ruin them  anyone with tips on cleaning hats without destroying the structure would be greatly appreciated!

One of my Masters hats I have purchased during a practice round or when I had access to the Patron's store (2020 and 2021).  I like the 2020 one the best as there was no attendance yet I was able to buy one.

Best golf hat I've ever had - my brother got this and a blue one after doing some work with Travis Matthews, and sent them to me  in October. 

My hats usually have sweat bands IMMEDIATELY after a round. I took this picture just now - this thing has held up incredibly well, is crazy comfortable, and looks kinda cool, on a guy who doesn't usually "do" cool.

I used to wear @The Hat but he started getting a bit too big for his boots and thought he was the boss, plus he's too heavy and not breathable so I sweat like a ho in church.



Now I use either a gray or white Mizuno Tour Sun Hat that one of the guys from Mizuno gave me last year.

I am hoping MGS comes out with some new hats for this upcoming season and that it will overtake some of my others as a go to hat. The other one I really like, but it just doesn't quite fit right. 

Hoping that it is black with some grey... or maybe even we are able to get some forum specific merch hats!

I have a serious problem with collecting golf hats. I don't know how many I have but it would certainly be in the double digits.

I know it's not golf related; but I do wear it for golf...and it is my favorite hat...

... As nice as it sounds, year round sun when you play 5 times a week can really do a number on your skin. Once I found this comfortable but large Walter Hagen sun hat it is all I wear. I have one white and one light gray. When the wind gets over 15mph I wear a Titleist baseball cap and still have white, tan and black. Don't wear a hat off the course.

... What's funny is that's the 18th and the Golf director thought last year it would be a good idea to water the rough on 9 and 18 because you see them from the clubhouse. There is a lake right of the green and the fairway slopes into it, so the course designer crafted mounds to the right and with dormant Bermuda the ball will roll off the rough and either on the fringe/green or near the green but now it just sticks in the watered over seeded rough. The green slopes away and is hard and fast so tough to get any spin from the rough. The 2nd shot plays to a mid or long iron for good players and a fairway wood for medium to short hitters. It makes a difficult but fair hole much more difficult. 

... We complained asking how can you have a course with 16 holes one way and two holes completely different and he blah blah blahed a non reply. Mostly it is so much more beautiful to non golfers looking at the course from the clubhouse patio. All green can be seen most anywhere in the US but the desert look with green fairways and putting surfaces surrounded by tan dormant Bermuda is stunning and unique. Every hole looks like this:

It is super cool to see because it is really unique. The mountain view too wow

What favorite and one and only is my Tilly (LTM8). I have had a few problems with Skin cancer on my head and face so I wear this pretty much every day when I'm outside in the sun.
