Popular Post fixyurdivot
Top of the pot spies . I attended the WM yesterday, taking advantage of free tickets and The Patriots pavillion. I arrived at the gate at 0710 only to find out they were delaying entry due to frost delay. Unlike 90% of the early arrivers, I was not heading to #16 stadium...what a sight and mess that is. I found a spot in grandstand right behind #10 green and watched from there for about 2 hours; seeing Scheffler, Scott, JT, among other notables come through. I don't think I'll attend this event again (maybe a Thursday) as it is simply too crowded. Further, the atmosphere is way too drink/drunkfest for me. Watching two patrons puking and one $faced girl being attended to by police/FD isn't tour golf I grew with. I started following Horschel but seemingly could not stay clear of a group who were clearly intoxicated and kept hollering "let's go Billy" amongst other stupid comments. Other than the knukleheads and that it was cold and sloppy everywhere from the downpours on Thursday, always fun to watch these guys make this game look so easy. Popular Post Jim Shaw
Ggood morning spy's Looking forward to today, I don't usually play Saturdays, I have 3 grandkids in lessons at my club so that keeps me busy, however I got a text to play with a Canadian tour player and the current club champion (he beat me on the 1st. extra hole of a playoff this past year, curses) so I can't pass this day up. Really nice guys with really good game, and it is "breakfast club" so a bit of a competition so we have to hole all putts etc... Nice little round in the beginning of February... I think I told you the greens were running 11.3 yesterday, hopefully they will get a machine on them today and shine them up a bit, at least smooth them out, that would be fun... Anyway have a great day everyone... a nice 22 lb winter spring caught by my buddy up Island in Parksville B.C 2 days ago... pretty big for this time of the year.. Most of the stuff is the old patio cover that tore down. They did remove that. The problem was the old concrete footings they didn't plan on jackhammering. Not working the weekend, so they have to pour new footings on Monday. If they don't finish on Monday, they will have to come back Feb 28 to finish... and get paid. I tried to push them to start on Feb 28, but they assured me they could finish before we leave. rkj427, Rob Person, William P and 2 others 3 1 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Popular Post William P
Good morning Spies! A little later start this morning but it sure felt good to sleep in for change... Not much going to happen, golf or outdoor related, around here today due to rain. Fortunately, not a downpour but a gentle steady rain that can soak in. It will be interesting to see how long before the puddles start forming in the yard. Not what the courses around need right now as they were getting dry out from previous weeks downpours... Safe travel @Rob Person and enjoy the meet & greet. Got to say you really have a keeper @Swood1994. You also better be on your "A" game when her birthday rolls around! Can't wait to hear which driver is crowned "King of the Bag" @Tom the Golf Nut I agree with you @fixyurdivot that the spectacle of the drunk fest associated with the WM has gotten out of hand. Popular Post Indy_Oz
Good morning (well technically it just ticked over past 12, so good afternoon) spies! Nice long morning dog walk done today, so on to sorting and clearing the garage so I can get the putting matt and chipping net set back up ahead of the Callaway white box balls arriving this afternoon. Work got in the way of going to a course for a round yesterday (weather was perfect- >60f and sunny ) and now the air temp is back in the 40s. Sim booked for tomorrow morning, so I'll get my golf fix in. I'm also going to Golf Galaxy tomorrow to check out the latest putters. Very interested in the Odyssey AI 7 mallet, but I want to try a variety. Also going to pick up a narrower putter grip. I moved to a thicker Superstroke 2.0 pistol last year, but I want something thinner for more feel. Will see what I like the feel of from the putters on the rack. I watched a little of the WM action yesterday and agree with above comments. Looks like a lot of people had fun and that's great, nice to see it's not sterile and too quiet (yes, this coming from a stuffy Brit used to polite and quiet golf crowds, lol), but seeing a player tee off and a voice from the crowd shout "get in the water" is a bit out of line. Popular Post Tom the Golf Nut
What a fun day so far. I completed my driver shoot out. I happened to play well today so the testing was easy. In third place was the Ping G400. It hit every fairway but just did not have the length of the TSi 1. The TSi 1 was trading blows back and forth with the Aerojet. I would hit a good drive with the TSi 1 and the Aerojet would get 10 yards past it. Then on the next hole the Titleist was further by 10 yards. The edge went to the Titleist due to accuracy. This was the same result I came up with last year but I wanted to validate again. A few birdies and 1 bogey made for a good time. The highlight of the day. It’s SPRING baby. The green grass is starting to poke through the dormant grass. Lots of the trees have buds and it’s 72 degrees currently. Guest-0
2 minutes ago, Tom the Golf Nut said: What a fun day so far. That Titleist feel/sound is really good as well Rob Person, sirchunksalot, cksurfdude and 3 others 6 Quote WITB Driver is PING G430 MAX 10K 9° W/VENTUS BLACK 44.5" TOUR VELVET GRIP 3 WOOD TAYLORMADE M2 15° W/ADDI BB TOUR VELVET GRIP IRONS PING G410 4 AND 5 IRON W/X100 IRONS 6-9 PING I200 W/X100 WEDGES TITLEIST VOKEY SM8 48° CHROME VOKEY 52° 56° AND 60 ALL IN CHROME FINISH WITH DYNAMIC GOLD AND MCC+4 GRIPS SCOTTY CAMERON TOUR RAT GSS 350G MATADOR GRIP SUN MOUNTAIN C-130 CART BAG NIKON LASER TITLEIST PRO V

I will be back golfing in May; there is no question about that. I am more worried about the quality of golf being played Might take a little bit of work after the surgery but your game will return to form quickly, just never fast enough to suit you. There are definitely more aspects to be enjoyed at these outings so I would recommend concentrating on intimidating and nagging the hell out of everyone if the game is not where you want it at the time... cksurfdude, rkj427, Dead Solid Bogey and 3 others 5 1 Quote TSR1, 9*, TPT Nitro 17 Lo TSR1, 15*, TPT Power Range Fairway 17 Lo TSR2, Hybrid, 18*, TPT Power Range Hybrid 17 Lo T-200, (2023), 5-PW, SteelFiber, i95cw, S Vokey Design - 50 & 54, SteelFiber i95cw S, and Vokey S10 - 46 & 58, SteelFiber i95cw S Odyssey JAILBIRD 380 Limited Edition ELIXR (2022), MaxFli Tour S (2024)
Popular Post ronnieg
Good Morning! No golf today. We are having my son's 12th birthday party today at a trampoline and it is absolute chaos. Preteens, sugary drinks and trampolines are a recipe for anarchy. Wish me luck. I think everyone believes in their mind that they are more capable than their body actually is. Hate for someone to stretch their boundaries and have to start over, or worse, create more issues or complications.
