sirchunksalot
@rkj427 I don't envy your job in the automotive industry one bit, I see a lot of conversations between supplier reps and management at work. I talk a lot to the supervisor of the wiring harness supplier and I can't imagine the amount of headache medicine he takes in a day. I would be insane. I have to say, I believe you have a love and passion for your job. I'm getting to play tomorrow after work. A couple of my friends made a tee time at Bear Trace and invited me along. It's a tough course and I'll be interested to see if all the practice lately pays off. ejgaudette, William P, cnosil and 5 others 7
Popular Post Rob Person
A brief update on the honey-do list... 10 minutes into clearing the back deck, the Gas blower caught on fire, the return feed line had split and was dripping down on the exhaust! Manged to get it extinguished, and there wasnt any real damage other than to my gloves. Got to the craftsmen lawn tractor and the battery was dead, so threw it on the charger (the battery is 6 years old) and took out the trusty rake for the close to house work. After 30 minutes of that, went to fire up the mower and nothing! Off to the wallymarts to get a new battery, also picked up a new fuel line, sparkplug, and push bulb for the blower. Got those installed and mower cranked right up. (Yay) but the blower wouldn't. I'll strip that down another day to fix it. In the middle of yard sweeping, I noticed a sky high water fountain ive never had before, hmmmm?. my rear water supply had sprung a leak. The fitting before the shutoff valve cracked and separated off the supply line. (60 psi created quite the spectacle shooting hydro 30 feet into the air.) Got the supply shut down, and was off to lowes! While driving I had calculated an idea to redesign the old one (it only had 1 shutoff and a Y hose connection.) $60 later I had a new setup, including a backfeed connection in case the well goes out and can hook it to the neighbors house if needed for water. Oh, back to the original plan of getting the acres of yard cleaned up. Got back on the mower, and halfway through the back side, the deck belt broke. (It was replaced last june). I had a backup in the shed, so Got that fixed up. So instead of the idea of dedicating 70% of daylight to appeasing the lady boss, I spent over $100, only got 2/3 of the back side completed. Hadn't planned to do anything golf-wise today, but I just learned this afternoon that there is a PGA Tour Superstore here in Raleigh, so I will drop by there and hope to resist the temptation to spend any money. I will definitely spend money tomorrow, though; I have a tee time at The Cradle at Pinehurst, their barrel-of-fun par 3 course designed by Gil Hanse. $50 for the round, and if they aren't too overbooked, I can play again for free. Just left the PGASS. Didn't quite get out of there with no spending, but close -- I got a club cleaning brush for $7. They're higher than that at Walmart! Also played with several different models of PAR Golf putters. Didn't buy one though. sirchunksalot, William P, Michael.Sandoval33 and 3 others 6 Quote Obsessed with chasing the dimpled orb. Legs were wiped out and with the sore back could only manage a 78! Well, if it is any consolation, I should not have done such a heavy training session today. I played in my indoor SIM league this evening, and my upper body was so tight that I didn’t hit more than 2 or 3 good iron shots and even my chipping was very stiff and “mechanical” until our last two holes. The only thing that I did well was drive the ball, and it took me a couple of holes after warming up to get to a point where I could swing my driver freely. I hit some real bombs with the driver, but two of those bombs went left and ended up in the rocks, giving me a pair of unplayable virtual lies. I will walk about 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 miles tomorrow, but other than that I’m only going to do my stretches and flexibility exercises between now and my winter tour event on Thursday. cksurfdude, Cfhandyman, Javs and 3 others 6 Quote DR - Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max, Newton Motion 4-Dot shaft 4W - Titleist TSR2, Newton Motion 4-Dot FW shaft HYB - Sub 70 949X 21*, original HZRDUS Black 85-S shaft 7W (if played) - Titleist TSR, ACCRA TZ6 7S Irons - Cobra King Forged Tec X, KBS TGI graphite shafts Wedges - Edison 2.0, 47* (bent to 48*), 53* and 57* (bent to 58*), KBS TGI 100 Tour S Putter - Evnroll ER10 ""Outback” Mallet Ball - Maxfli Tour-X CG (2023) or Vice Pro Plus Bags - Vessel / Ghost stand bags Cart - MotoCaddy M7 Remote (without the remote) Spoiler Lots of short game practice has made this a strength; now the driver is causing problems! Popular Post GolfSpy_APH
Morning! It's both a wonderful and weird thing now on the forum. Not long ago there was a good 3 hour period where I would be in doing admin work and be the only member listed as being online. Now there simply isn't that lull... Which is great! However there was something kinda nice about having the forum to myself for that period of time. Felt like the first person to the office getting the coffee ready for everyone and getting all set up before the day started. Now everyone has caught on and there is a busy coffee room, but at least now I have ppl to talk to! Anyway - stupid happy to see the growth we have seen to start 2024 and looking forward to tomorrow and the weekend in particular. Non Forum - move is going well. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Very early Wednesday morning my spies and the week’s weather just keeps getting better. Today’s high is expected to break 80°. The AAA’s have “ acquired “ the desired tee time and even for us sloooow elderly, we should be done around noon. Yesterday’s round was a mixture of a few highs, more lows, and a majority of meh..when it came to shot outcomes. As a group, after solving all the world’s problems by the third hole, we got deadly serious and talked golf as we played. Three of us were part of the shellacking that was administered to us by the youngsters on Monday, in regards to that beat down, the topic of course yardage came up. We were pretty evenly divided on what was the better advantage for the elderly elite; placement or total yardage ( e.g. harder hazardous shot or significantly longer shot ). Some of us play in the same tournaments around the state.. One track has NO designated senior tees an adds 818 yards over what we play at our home course. In the past most of us finished middle of the road scoring wise. However we are definitely sliding down the leaderboard as the years go by. Another track is 561 yards longer than our course with horrendous yardage needs in many possible hazard scenarios. Some of us do rather well there and some us are just horrendously hazardous, very few.. meh outcomes. There is a tree infested course way north of us that I no longer play that between the additional yardage and yardage hazard placements; I would have a better outcome playing in an ice hockey league for the elderly and all I know about ice is that it keeps my drinks cold. At the end of the round, we all pretty much decided it was a lot easier to solve the world’s problems than it was to come to any degree of consensus on golf topics. May this half way point of the week bring you all positive outcomes for the day. Happy 3 score, 3 years plus a day, Birth Anniversary to @EasyPutter and in celebratory honor of @Josh Parker and family’s new “ Hot Tub “ I decided to make this while preparing my adult “ solid food “ type meal……. I made a bacon and egg “ Hot Tub “ for my toast people. The family’s female adult supervisory authority just came into the kitchen and took one look at my creation and shook her head and left… It is going to be a GREAT DAY, I can just feel it. cksurfdude, Woodrow72, IndyBonzo and 16 others 8 3

Find a solution that puts water under control is a win in my book. Celebrating with an Elmer T Lee or an Eagle Rare is just icing on the cake. — Aftermorning all. Popular Post ParFore74x
Good morning spies!! Starting out at 45° and looking at low 60s today!! I should just bust out the shorts today. Of course, I REALLY should take advantage of the weather and get a jump start in the yard work. That way the yard doesn’t cut into swing time once the courses open. Love the “hot tub breakfast” @Dead Solid Bogey, quite the creative display. Sounds like your family is really going to enjoy your hot tub @Josh Parker Have a great day spies!! ️ Jim Shaw, Cfhandyman, Preeway and 14 others 17 Quote TSi3 10° w/ Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black 65g TS2 15° 3W w/ Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.0 70g 818 H1 21° Hybrid w/ Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 70g MP-18 MMC 2 iron w/ KBS Tour C-Taper S 120g JPX 921 HM 5-GW w/ Project X LZ 5.5 115g JB Forged 54° & 58° w/ Project X LZ 6.0 120g EV5.3 Black Official Tester Review Nitron push cart Unofficial review
Popular Post IndyBonzo
Good morning, Spies! Lots going on here today. @GolfSpy_APH Jamie best of luck with your move. @Marlin Dave Hope you have a great haul. Pics required. @sirchunksalot Hope you have a great round later today! @Josh Parker No doubt everyone will love the new tub. It may be a long day of anticipation. @Dead Solid Bogey Your toast people in the hot tub? Hilarious. My youngest daughter really took to her first golf lesson. She has danced for nearly all her 17 years, and so has a remarkable ability to implement instructions immediately. After an hour she was hitting her 7 iron consistently straight at 120 yards. She will hit it a lot longer soon. And she loved it. I had good practice in another bay during the lesson, focusing on driver to try to be ready for the fun part of the Qi10 test. Feels like it’s coming together. I wish you all wonderful Wednesdays! cksurfdude, ParFore74x, Dead Solid Bogey and 17 others 14 6 Quote Working at getting better ... and very slowly getting there.
