Good morning my spies…. Taking a little break from driving to work. Yep, “ those people “ that pay my daily bread are willing to pay my double-rate for punching my work ticket two days early ( YAY! for Feb. 29th. ) Not sure how long I will be gone; as evidently I am headed into somewhat of a “ Cluster “. 
   When my health issues were raised, the wife person insisted that I will be fine. She remarked that;  that was why I had the Air Evacuation insurance as part of my employtant benefit package. Pretty sure she was smiling at the time.  
  As my last act of the day as the loyal opposition to her highness, I am calling and having two of these installed, one on each side of the driveway…..

Hopefully her ire will have dissipated by the time I return… Whenever that is.  
  May all the radical weather changes somehow be to everyone’s advantage. Own the day my friends, own the day…

So I let them be. Cowards! 

Hope your morning is looking better than mine. Real feel is 1 degree here in Cheyenne, with winds gusting to 40mph. Yay!!! Another day of no outside golf activities. That’s 6 days in a row. I did help my daughter with her informative speech assignment about the fundamentals of golf. She gives it tomorrow morning. It’s fantastic she’s thinking about golf and is going to do a presentation in her class at UW! She chose golf over hockey. Weird because she’s a hockey player.

I love both so woohoo! Hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, Happy Birdie Hunting!!!

I hold out hope there is a special after death punishment given to car engineers that design things like this.  We had a car that you had to take off the tire to change the oil filter and another that needed the tire and wheel well cover removed to change a headlamp bulb.

Yesterday, I played golf in shorts and this morning it is 22 degrees with a real feel of 10.

Good morning Spies! Should have been at the courthouse this morning for jury duty, but the night-before phone call gave me a reprieve. Have to call again at 5 pm tonight for "further instructions." Not sure if that could mean I have to go in tomorrow or what, but I'll be dialing in just under 8 hours. The uncertainty has prevented me from doing anything about that pile of cardboard that sits where my simulator setup is going. Hopefully no jury duty at all and I can address that Friday.

Nice numbers @skraeling! Should you maybe tweak it another notch and get a little more of that hook straightened out?  As Lee Trevino said, you can talk to a fade but a hook won't listen.

Maybe.  Im gonna let this setting mellow for a few rounds to give it a thorough shake down.  i hit up anywhere from 5-7* so I could maybe get away with it.

Good morning Spies

Couple of beautiful days here at the end of February which ended today with some rain. Nice weather is in the forecast for the end of the week which may end up being a good time to play a full round outdoors which is extremely rare. It's my sim league night and we are playing the Augusta par 3 course so I'm excited to get my wedges dialed.

Makes sense. I can't even imagine bashing one 285, hook or no hook. At this point, I'd be over the moon thrilled with 220+ regularly. I remember catching one absolutely perfect in my 30s on a dry summer day and it rolled out ~250. Maybe I can have that feeling again, after Fit For Golf/simulator work and maybe Rypstick on top of that.

Good morning and Happy "That" Day!

A bit of a yucky overcast, gray morning to start the day. Ran is set to commence at any time now. It is 63* right now, so at least there's that. But it is going to drop sharply to 39* by 2pm with whatever weather band the ran is bringing with it. We also have a wind advisory until noon. So all sorts of crazy weather today.

Just another day in the life today. Haircut after work then dinner with dad. I believe homemade meatloaf is the call of the day for dinner. I made a pork loin for our dinner on Sunday that was very delicious. Then large home created salads the rest of the week.

So everyone have a fantastic mid-week day!!

Good morning spies!

Already a cup deep this morning and I am up walking a Pickle. Plans for the day are range, my phone tripod finally arrived last night, and as it is a beautiful day, I hope to get a couple of videos with the Qi10. Also going to record some putting and chipping practice for myself as well. Excited to be able and go back to watch and learn from it. Afterwards, just going to complete course work for the week ahead of time. So I can just relax for the weekend and wait for Friday because Dune: Part Two is coming out!

Good Morning all!

It's not the brightest day out but it is currently 54* so I'll take it!  Tomorrow is going to be cold, but then we rebound nicely into the weekend with mid to upper 50's.  Its looking like some showers, but I believe a range trip will be in the cards at a minimum.  Maybe a trip over to Casa de @GolfSpy_SHARK's simulator emporium will be in order too.  

 

Who's got tee times this weekend? Let's hear it!

Top of the pot spies!   Men's league at 1145 today at Desert Springs.  Hopefully I can keep the most recent 78 and 76 scores rolling .  I've come to the conclusion that labs like natural sticks, as in tree branch, better than anything money can buy.  I now have a stash of them, hidden in shrubs, all along our walking trails... and he knows which shrubs they are in .

Good morning Spies,

Happy Day from SoCal. My lovely wife and I head home today after a wonderful trip to see our “baby” get married. It was great seeing family and celebrating.

Yesterday was a great day. A 2.5 mile run along the ocean. Mole’ enchiladas for lunch. A bit of shopping for SWMBO. We stocked up on See’s candy. I visited the Scotty Cameron Gallery and Goat Hill Park. So I did a bit of shopping as well. A pitch mark repair tool from the Gallery and a t-shirt and hat from Goat Hill Park. I mentioned that I heard about Goat Hill Park on the Fire Pit Collective podcast and they gave me a Fire Pit visor.

Off to the airport today.

I sure wish Summer and Winter would quite fighting over Texas and just let Spring have it... Definitely going to make for a chilly round tomorrow. 

Congratulations @Wheelieb on the 19th anniversary of your service to our country and thank you for your service.  I remember those years fondly.

Well too cold for any golf activity today and starting to question my sanity for playing tomorrow. Like they say, " don't have to be crazy to be here but it certainly helps!"

I also retired 1.5 yes ago. I owned an e-commerce company selling upgrade parts (9000) for personal golf carts. Extremekartz.com was a 6 day, 12+ hrs a day labor of love from Inception through sale. It took a good year to slow down to "retired" speed SO just relax, kick back and think about the beautiful 9 iron to 2 ft you hit last time out....

Good morning all!

Temperatures have plummeted from 70 the last two days to 20s today  luckily the weather should turn around this weekend and I have a tee time scheduled on Sunday for what's looking like mid-60s and sunny.

Went to the simulator last night to try to see how the swing is feeling. It is by far the best I have hit it in recent memory. I was driving the ball extremely well, hitting nearly every FIR and shot 74 on the Innisbrook Copperhead course in Palm Harbor, FL. Obviously it's a sim and not a real course, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. But hopefully an omen of good scores to come in 2024!

Good morning fellow spies and happy Wednesday! Was able to get out onto the course yesterday to play a few holes as they had opened it up for members only with the great weather we had been having here in Wisconsin. It was low 70s and I was playing in a polo! Today it is 19 degrees and super windy  but nonetheless, felt great to get out on the course. Hit some great shots and some absolutely awful ones, but such is life when getting back into the swing of things not hitting a ball into a net. Plus side was some really great tee shots, and was able to shape the ball with a soft draw off the tee as well as with irons and wedges. Still plenty of rust to knock off even though I've been hitting balls all winter, and continuing to work on my swing mechanics as the season approaches. It is amazing how your body and brain go into memory mode once you're out of the controlled practice environment of a garage and a net. Going to continue to work, though, until the new feels become muscle memory.

Good morning MGS!

Today started slow but I ended up climbing a ladder with a hard hat and safety harness to fix a fiber optic line that was plugged in to the terminal backwards. The crew was shocked I knew what I was doing which was pretty damn funny. Light levels fixed services working all is good. Still on the hunt for new to me irons. Haven’t found anything yet but so the hunt continues.
