Good morning and happy Wed-Nes-Day, spies!!

Rainy morning this morning, and pretty much all day and the majority of the rest of the week. Ugh.

I'm sitting here in the waiting room, awaiting my turn so I can have blood drawn. Then, this time next week, I'll be reviewing the numbers with the doctor and seeing how certain ones are fairing. Hopefully, it'll be much better since I've made a handful of quality changes to both my activity level and eating habits.

Laundry room work will commence again later this morning, whenever dad gets there. I'm really hoping we can knock it all out by the end of the weekend. But we'll see.

Good Morning everyone!  Managed to play somewhat decently yesterday walking the back nine… 37 with two birdies!!  Thought I would finally post some pics of our Palm Springs golf trip...

Yes, I found the casual water and lost one of the 8 balls on the trip (I took 3 sleeves with me).

#18 from the deck of Big Rock at Indian Springs, one of our favorite courses to visit, even if we aren’t playing.  We spent several late afternoons on this deck watching golfers finish and enjoying good food and beverage.  The theme for this course is rock and roll memorabilia with guitars all over the bar and rest rooms.  Hang out with Elvis and the Blues Brothers!!

Wish the trip was longer, but I’m glad to be home away from all the elevated greens… hate that feature in course design.

Good morning! Pretty easy day for me today. Besides having a dental appointment, not much going on. May sneak out and hit a little bit to prime up for next week.

Ah well be making a repair call this week it looks like, though its so old its just time to replace it anyway to be honest.  Just glad winter is basically over at this point.  Might try and limp it along till end of year since well its about to start getting warm anyway.

My mans, You know you will need it again in the middle of April. Based off your location being in Missouri, I am from there. I remember getting snow on April Fools day and getting told by our mom we were going to be grounded if we were pulling a prank on her.

Good morning, Spies! Today was supposed to be my midweek travel/golf day, but not sure that will happen. One, the 90% chance of rain in Raleigh and environs; two, big work meeting from 11 to 12:30; and three, a problem that happened yesterday that I have to write up for our Quality Improvement people. Nothing I did, fortunately, but it still falls on my plate. Cliffs Notes version: We give infusions to our patients once a month for my Alzheimer's study. There's a 50/50 chance that each subject gets the actual drug or gets salt water, but either way, the infusion is supposed to be 140 cc of whatever. Yesterday our first subject only got 94 cc and the bag was bone-dry afterward. So we have to play detective and try to figure out what happened. So that's going to be my morning. Maybe I finish it and can play golf this afternoon, but looks doubtful with all of that. Coming off a rough night anyway; did my workout in the hotel fitness room, finishing at 8:30, and had trouble getting to sleep afterward. I've finished workouts at 8:30 before and had no trouble sleeping, but not this time.

we already had a day in January that was in the 60s.  Hell we had a day that had a 54* temp split. A week ago.  High of 80ish low into the upper 20s.

Surprisingly the talk with our mom was not as difficult as she admitted that she always knew there was a possibility of that. I'm just waiting to see if MY biological dad reaches out since my information was passed on. If not I will reach out to him.

Good Morning Spies,

Hope you are all doing well. Absolutely crazy how much time starting a business takes, and how exhausting it is LOL. The sim is going well though, and the membership is getting filled, slowly but surely. Trackman is amazing, massive new update today as well where they let people play in real time against each other. Not sure how practical that will be, we'll see. between this and my "real" job, very little time. But it s fun trip none the less

We concluded then that the bags of saline solution we got from the manufacturer were underfilled; couldn't be a pump problem because we used two different pumps, and the nurse who prepared the infusions was very experienced. I honestly don't know who prepared it yesterday; the schedule said one thing but that's not who actually showed up. This is a blinded study, so I don't know if that person got the drug or just salt water, and I won't find that out today. Could be she screwed up, could be another underfilled bag from the manufacturer. I checked the infusion pump yesterday so I'm confident that wasn't it.

Good morning all and happy Wednesday. It has been a whirlwind of a week here at work. Had a new diabetes prevention program begin on Monday with 14 participants, which is great, but getting all the paperwork filed and insurance information ran is super time consuming. Been a large factor as to why I haven't been on the forum much this week!

We are also heading for Mexico this coming Monday morning for a week, so trying to get all my ducks in a row for when I am gone adds to the level of business as well. Looking forward to the trip, but our oldest is still battling some sort of respiratory issue. His pediatrician thinks it is related to allergies and all of that coming on sooner than usual with the unseasonably warm weather. He was prescribed Singulair, but we are leery of starting him on that as it has a black box label warning of some serious side effects it can potentially cause in children. We certainly will not be starting him on it before we leave, and will just stick with Zyrtec and his inhaler as needed for now. I am really hoping that as we move into a normal spring, it'll clear up. 

Safe to say, SWMBO's travel anxiety about leaving the kids for an extended period of time, and mine as well, is even more so heightened at this point. The trip will be fun, but it's almost like entering a stage of dread that comes with leaving before the trip arrives. I can't imagine I am the only parent that feels that way, but man, it sure can be a lonely feeling lol.

Anyways, enough of my soap box ranting and I know I should not be downtrodden about a trip to warm weather. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning spies!

Weather in Chicago continues to be chilly and windy. Hoping the sun and warmer temps return soon (especially for the St. Paddy's celebrations next weekend).

Was able to get a simulator session in last night. Was hitting the ball extremely well and shot even par for 9 holes. Still some things in my swing I'm trying to improve on, but overall I'm very happy with how I'm currently hitting it.

Likely another busy day at work. Hoping this hump day goes quickly so we're one day closer to the weekend!

Morning all! Yesterday was a rough day after maybe pushing too hard in the gym in the AM leaving my whole body just exhausted all day during a work day that didn’t end until nearly 8pm. BUT, today’s a new day and I’m hoping to get at least 27 holes in this afternoon before some wet weather comes in tomorrow. I need to get a solid round in the VCT this week as I’ve been slacking lately and haven’t had a round better than net +5 in a long while!

I woke up this morning thinking I had a tee time, jumped out of bed, and showered... wait it's only Wednesday  Hump Day strikes with an iron fist! Well, it will start raining for the day in the next few hours here (they say at least, it looks pretty sunny out to me!) so I will be productive and complete the last of the courseload on Linux and wash my hands of it. Well, I think I need a cup of coffee with much more caffeine in it today so Tierra Mia here I come!

Pressure and swing speed are rather lengthy calculations built around angular momentum and acceleration that I have not done since college calculus. Plus I do not have all the variables readily at hand and diving back into partial differential equations is something nightmares are made of.

Instead, I simply made three points on the 9000 that will drop the putter or chipper head the same distance every time. This way I remove the speed and impact calculations and replace them with a constant. The speed at which the ball leaves the club head is not a condition I am testing as, within a +/- percentage, every ball is struck with the same force and angle of attack. Rather,  I am more interested in repeatability in both path and distance. 

My premise for the testing is, as I see it, no shot in any game on any course, is exactly the same. There are only two constants, the club and the ball. The person holding the club is a mountain of ever changing variables that for my limited abilities and knowledge of biomechanics made them impossible to quantify and therefore needed to be removed. Hence the A&M 9000 was born. 

A ball that if you read the green correctly you can be confident will go where you want it to and how far is something to behold. I still have several more tests to do that I will methodically work through. My results so far tell me I want to take this ball onto the course!

The people at our muni are idiots!!  I knew two days ago looking at the forecast that it was going to be 27º this morning.  It’s 34º now at 8am!!   So what did they do yesterday??  Turned on the irrigation system last night!!  The sun is out, but they have ice all over the course!  Now they are implementing a 10am shotgun start to get people out.

I was going to go to the course this morning around 11am and play.  Guess I will get there a little after 10am; the practice area should be wide open with nobody waiting for their tee time.

Good morning fellow spies!

Enjoying this final morning cup of coffee before officially kicking off the day with a range session. From the sounds of it I had better enjoy it as the forecast does not bode well for tomorrows regularly scheduled round. Might have to give Top Golf a try tomorrow if the forecast holds true.

@Dead Solid Bogey I tried that toasting technique a year or two ago and ended up making a run to get a new toaster before the Imperial supervisor discovered all the melted cheese... Suffice it to say I like cheese and did not portion it properly for method food preparation chosen... Got to admit if I was her, I would have been a little miffed as it did make one mell of a hess!

@EnderinAZ Love the A&M 9000! @GolfSpy_KFT Hope your son gets to feeling better and eases yours and wife's minds allowing you to enjoy your trip.

Good morning! Just finished up with all of my morning meetings and my last bit of drip coffee for the day! I was really hoping to be able to get to the course and play the one man, two ball scramble today, but it rained most of the morning and my in-laws are coming this afternoon. They usually bring some phenomenal food, so I'm hoping they keep that tradition alive today!
