Happy Friday! We have a family fun 9 scheduled for this evening and my daughter and I have a 7:50am tee time tomorrow with a friend and his son. I am seizing on the interest she is showing to get her as much exposure as possible (she used to not be open to checking out the sport). Have a great weekend all!

I stopped at Furnace Creek GC in Death Valley... 126º, but I just got out of the car to look around.  I don't need to play golf 280 feet below sea level; I hit the ball short enough the way it is.  🤣

Has anyone tried the Takoma irons, my brother inlaw bought the 101s and really likes them. Just wanted to hear other people's opinions. Thanks.

Not to be a smartass, but

The 5 reviews here are all excellent and thread overall does a good job of conveying their feelings and thoughts on the Takomo irons.

the TL;DR is they were all impressed with them.

Top of the pot spies ☕.  A day off from golf today.  Got back from walking River and noticed my bike front tire is flat.  So no bike ride to the gym; it will be weird taking the car.  Just when I thought I had nothing to do today, I'll be out to buy a 700x38c inner tube and make the repair.  We're going to try Texas Road House near us for dinner.

@David Leighton Reid, are you sure you are ready for such an exhaustive switch in daily routines? 🤣

Good Morning MGS Forum! It's been a while since I've been able to get into this thread. Work has been not stop with personnel changes, QBR, and board meeting prep. I finally can come up for air and breath a little. I am hoping next week is a little slower and I have a lot of golf coming up so hopefully I can clear my head and get my swing back on track.

In sadder news I am still unfortunately waiting on that illusive shipping email for the Mizuno Long Game Test. i'm really excited to get that kicked off.

I hope everyone has a great start to their weekend and has tee-times booked!

Good morning all and happy Friday. For whatever reason, this has been a LONG week. We've got a kids free weekend this weekend and I am very ready for it. Been feeling pretty burned out and stressed lately, and have been having some anxiety issues (not the norm for me). May end up making an appointment with my PCP, but I have never taken any prescription medication and would prefer to stay that way for as long as possible. Flip side of that is my patience with everyone, SWMBO and kids included, has been paper thin, which is not fair to them. It's easy to tell myself to just knock it off and get out of the funk, but it's proving harder than typical. Hopefully I can get a reset this weekend and find a balance where I'm not a short fuse and losing my cool over insignificant things.

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

Sing from Wisconsin myself, I know the summer gets tedious. We look forward to football season, hunting and cooler temps. Not to say we don’t love some time on the lake or river bank fishing, or as this site brings us together, golf & BBQs.

I'm no DR but play one on websites 😂💩🤷🍺.  My go to when I’m in a funk is to work on what is actually going on at the time and choose my words wisely. Not easy I know, but sometimes counting to 1000 makes a difference. Kids are kids and someday they won’t be living with you. They will be 2000 miles away and all we have are the memories when we can’t talk to them.

Have better day, hug and kiss your kids before leaving for the weekend. The. Have an awesome weekend and don’t sweat the small s***.

Cheers to you

This is the biggest thing that I try to constantly remind myself, and what also makes me feel horribly guilty every time I am not patient enough with my boys. They not only live with us for so long, but are only little for so long. I've never been such an impatient or quick to temper person in my life, either. So I just need to get myself straightened out or seek out a professional (again, easier said than done even though I know it shouldn't be).
