Put all of our team rules into play and things couldn’t have gone better. Well, maybe they could. Took driver on the heavily bunkered short par 4. Took two shots to get in the green and made bogey. Had a 45 foot putt for Eagle and was playing for the make all the way. Missed the 8 footer coming back and settled for par. Tried to carry the big oak on the short dogleg par 4. Hit the damn thing dead center but still had a shot at the green. Unfortunately my attempt to snap hook a 7-iron around the tree and onto the green wasn’t so snappy and settled for bogey. But no worries. I’m sure a couple more rounds at league will help me iron all of this out in time for the VCT Match Play event to start. Team Questionable Judgement is gonna kill it. We woke up to a chorus of thunder early am, maybe the start of our now late in coming monsoon season. Had a few small puddles around but nothing significant. I have a 0615 tee time with my Thursday group at Desert Springs. Looks like that weather system has cleared but expected to return over the weekend; so Saturday's play might be out . Had an uncle pass away last week. We headed to MN on Friday for a Monday Funeral. Football season for me anyway is in full swing and scheduling is a steep learning curve. I don't think it's a curve at all and just a cliff to jump off of. Had 3 of our work vehicle's broken into. Thief's are a brilliant bunch, as they didn't go into the back of the van's where everything worth anything of value is back there. Just broken glass and the hassle of getting them repaired. All in all I for some reason am in a pretty good mood. No golf this week since I am gone, but I get to see my oldest and grandkids again this summer so that helps a lot. sirchunksalot Posted August 18, 2023 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Good morning and happy Friday everyone! I'm chilling in my car enjoying another cool, beautiful morning. My coffee is going down good and I'm ready to get the day off to a good start. I do have to work tomorrow, they decided at 10:28 yesterday to call production for half a day tomorrow. The fun part is, they called the last half of our work day which means we come in from 10:30 until 2:30. There were a lot of unhappy workers. It was stated the reason being parts shortages. I'm just going to go in at my normal time to straighten up the line for an audit and possibly walking back cars on the line to check for defects and fix what we can.
