Good afternoon since I am late with this post. Very soggy day in western pa. I am so glad I didn't get in that scramble they are having today. First year I played in it, rain all day. Last year 50 degrees and windy. If they don't move it to another month I probably won't get in again. Hopefully your weather is better than mine. Next 4 days don't look good, the next time I will play is going to be Thursday in Augusta. Have fun all.

They don't pay me enough to play in the rain, oh wait I have to pay them. Well That sucks.

Yeppers…. Seems  like 5 or 6 days of the 7 days of rain that we usually get annually has been misplaced…. It is a tad dry around here even for us. We had 10 guys covering North America we are down to 4. Part of me wants to move on but I only have a few more years left before retirement. I also get to play a lot of golf so it's a tough decision. Let's just say I'm keeping my eyes open.

Looking forward to smoking a beer can chicken and hopefully hitting the course this afternoon.

Awesome! One of my faves to smoke, that or a spatchcocked whole chicken.

Getting up early to feed the animals, and get ready to head out to play. About a 40min drive up north to WinterStone Golf Course. Have only played this course once, back in early June, it seemed nice but it kicked my butt. Looking for some redemption today.

48° outside currently, but should get up to low 50°s, will have to layer up. Got my red rooster rain gloves yesterday so maybe those will come in handy today!

Have a great Sunday everyone! ☕

Good morning spies!

It's a cloudy, cool morning and I'm just enjoying a cup of Joe while relaxing with the animals. I'm planning on getting out with the wife later to grocery shop and see how I'm holding up before having to go back to work tomorrow.

I hope y'all have a good Sunday!

Sunday my fellow spies , or as I call it Subday.. A day to do or finish what didn’t get done during the week….
Yesterday’s play away from home was meh…. Playing without the wedges did not overly help or hurt.
@jdparker  remember that little ones rule. Just practicing for when they expand their empires as adults. Just continue to raise her to be a benevolent ruler.
Speaking of rulers, my lady of the land was slightly distraught when I  returned to the realm headquarters. Seems the “ Her High Highness “ of the next kingdom over has had another consort bail and seek safety in exile. This one in the foreign land of Nebraska. I told my SHE being, that I was not surprised. That as long as that, lady leader in the next land over held so many intolerable ideas and proclaimed such offensive edicts as CB2D8261-4679-455E-BB7C-ECACDD137566.jpeg.577041d595edca4111ee37006f1c2e16.jpeg

Then she will be a ruler without subjects or consort.
I am taking the inverse of the tactic of the fleeing consort and retrieving the wedges from solitary confinement. I am going to take my nemesis to the course today and fearlessly use the wedge(s) if and when the need arises.
First, I will make sure my throne holder is feeling better about the situation that the poor decision making Big Boss of the next door territory has caused herself… I always try to remember that even in my subjugated state, that life is better, much much better with a ruler/ wife that is calm, secure, and balanced… Balanced is very important.

May Sunday…errrr Subday be all you need it to be my spies.

Good Morning Folks

It's been a minute, This football season is kicking the old right into me. I am counting down the days/games left I have to take a break from it. That will be short lived as there is a good chance I'll be voted in as President of our association. Good thing is it's only a year long term and then one as past Prez.

Up earlier than I wanted as my daughter had her fall lacrosse "play Day" today. It's her first game situation since ACL injury/tear Sept 22'.  I thought it was 8:30 her time which makes it 6:30 my time. I was only off an hour. It's good cuz I have a chance to get some important reading done here on MGS.

Hope everyone is doing good, Have a great Sunday.

Good Morning Everyone!!  Hope y'all have a great Sunday and hopeful can play golf today!  I can tell you that it wasn't golf yesterday after pruning shrubs on Friday!!  Don't do that!  Shot 85... ugh!  Still a beautiful day; currently 55º headed to 76º.  I feel a little better this morning.

After golf yesterday we moved patio furniture around to the driveway and our street had a "block party" that involved 3 blocks.  Our street is shaped like an "L" and our house is on the outside corner of the dogleg.  Since we have no street parking, our driveway is extra long so the food was in our driveway and people spilled out into the street.  This was our first gathering of the neighborhood and we had 3 houses that are newbies, so it was also a welcoming.  Lots of fun!!  Next spring we will have the neighbors at the end of the block bring their guitars and banjos.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Still morning so I'll squeak this in.

Changing my golf habits as fall weather is here. 7am is getting colder, damper, and moving my tee time out I get caught up with carts being allowed out on the course (8am is cart time). Sunday afternoons the course is quite empty. So, I'm making the change to 2:00 tee times. I'll see how that goes for now.
