Thanks for the advice BIG STU!  My doctor said I could start chipping and gradually work up to a full swing as long as there is no pain.

How am I starting my morning? Dentist office addressing a toothache.

Otherwise, the coffee was good this morning, the sun is out, the weekend is a day away, and golf time is soon on my horizon again, hence my increased activity here.

I used to do the same thing especially trucking. Get to the yard early fire the truck up early after the pre trip inspection. Get settled in the seat ready to go. When I was racing I got to the line up or staging area early gave me time to clear my mind and triple check my belts and helmet strap and settle down in the seat. I actually used to get so relaxed in the race car in staging I would go to sleep. When we got the warning flag to pull out the guys who raced with me weekly knew to tap my bumper or one of the officials would bang on the top of the car. One time MUSC was running tests for the med students to study heart rates on race car drivers. One of my good friends who I raced with ( and is now a MD himself) was helping run the test and he did not race that night. One of the students was monotoring me and exclaimed that something was wrong with his equipment that it was showing a low heart and respritory rate. My bud said bet it was car #39 which was me. Told the student watch this and he went down and banged the top of my car. Rates went up. He told the student that I was the only person he ever saw that could go from totally relaxed to WFO in the drop of a hat. During the race my heart rate went up some and the student was concerned. Now this was where my bud's racing knowledge came in. He told the guy naah he is not scared or anxious he is fighting the handling on the car a bit. LOL he could not resist he got on the radio and told me fighting it a little there Stuey? I told him yeah it was handling like a Mack dump truck with the tandems out of line.

There are a few facilities there. I coached the Danish womens team at worlds back in 2018. Have several friends in Copenhagen and explored the city for a few days a few years back.

It is a great, fun and social sport  much like golf... just colder.

Friday morning best wishes to everyone.  Coffee in the Corkcicle mug that keeps it hot for longer than it takes to get the last drop.  Cereal was in the kitchen extension watching the windstorm moving past and with temps above freezing nothing really to see at all, the eaves lights making the backyard glow before dawn.

Today is go-time for payroll, the end of the 2-week timecard period for the agency.  Logged on early to get systems online, pull reports to see if anything could be a barn burner, make sure no employees HR actions bumped them into the default Time&Leave group and put back those that did to enable timekeepers heavy workload on Timecard Friday.  Reach out to the team to establish a positive working climate so they know support is one click away.  Monitor and assist timekeepers and supervisors while nursing this morning's brew Wegmans Breakfast Blend medium roast.

Wife on her way to work, daughter about to leave for work, Corgis taking up their positions to slumber the morning away.  On we go, with MGS on my personal computer to the side which helps keep mind sharp in slower moments during workday.

FWIW- I had rotator cuff repair on one shoulder and tenodesis on the other and, as hard as it was for me to follow their guidance, I did and they both worked out fine in the long run. They were also both scheduled in the "off season" for that exact reason

Weekends are often slow here on the forum. Often weekends are nice to relax and enjoy a bit of a sleep in. Unfortunately not for me. Weekends are stacked busy and often my busiest days of the week.

Had a good morning with Ivan playing and sharing breakfast then off to work and if I am lucky this afternoon a long enough break to hit up the range again!

Good morning! It just hit 8 degrees out here (47F)! Unfortunately, the wind is blowing 9 m/s (20mph). Still, it’s the first weekend since the fall when I’m finally able to entertain the notion of hitting a golf ball!

I’ve been hoping to take advantage of the weather to work on a shed I started building a couple months ago, but maybe I can run out quickly to hit a bucket.

Weekend morning indeed!  Slower and less rushed when nothing is pressing.  Good Saturday morning to everyone ☕
tea takes the place of coffee when not heading out the door to something, orange pekoe English Breakfast blend.

Jobs are already filling in, vacuuming, son coming in from RIT to go to Buffalo Sabres Hockey with his grandfather downtown noonish, my own day ramping up in afternoon for the first of 6 consecutive Saturday afternoons, PGA HOPE golf session at Wildwood CC using their indoor simulators.  I've stayed active with the Western NY PGA HOPE program since my first session in 2018.  Much more going on with it for 2023 that will be shared in future posts.

Time to finish this one, son is on his way and must be done with jobs before he arrives.

Weekends are for early morning cartoons in bed (for the kids) and a few hours of not having to go anywhere (for the adults).

kicked up some pancakes with my helper and played fetch with the dogs in the brisk air.

LOL kinda a easy Saturday for us too. 2nd week in a row the shootout has cancelled due to weather and the 3rd out of the last 4 which is unusual for us. We got rain last night and it is due all weekend. Last night and this morning it was not a hard rain bit a steady drizzle. The hard stuff is supposed to start about noon. But it is a raw type cold rain. We did get out about 7AM and went to the Waffle House. We are back home and have the wood stove going and are inside dry. Not really roaring but just enough to be cozy and take the chill out. We are supposed to get around 4" of rain for the weekend

The rain delayed yesterday and it was 70 and sunny. Now this time of the year the course is crowded with snowbirds. I did manage to hit about 40 balls on the range and do some short game practice. I did sneak out in front of some turn groups and got 4 holes in. They have been double teeing. I was going to go home the starter ( who is a minority owner) told me to sneak out on the front since some of the turn groups were slow. He told me if anyone had anything to say to tell them where to go and the fact I was a Member. I did get 4 holes in and ran into a log jam 3 groups for no reason backed up on #5. For some reason the course has never used rangers. LOL I shrugged and cut across to the club house and went home. I told the cart guys they would be lucky to get carts in by dark. But I think they got some reprieve it started drizzling rain about 4 or so

Saturday's are definitely one of my two favorite mornings of the week. It's nice to get to sleep in a bit, actually this morning it was a LOT. The coffee is warm and the dogs are in a snuggling mood with me relaxing on the couch. My wife wants to go to town today and we might stop by the range to hit a few balls of the rain holds off.

Yep!  Saturdays are great!  I get to stay in bed and my wife brings coffee with Kirkland Irish Cream.  We turn on the iPad connected to Dish and watch whatever golf is on The Golf Channel; today… the Seniors in  Morocco.  Great start for the day!

It's a rainy and cool Sunday morning, but the house is warm and the coffee is piping hot. The dogs are both curled up under blankets finally getting rest after protecting the house all night from huffalumps and woozles while their parents slept safely.

Yep it is rainy and cold here. Done had the coffee and fixing to go to church. I have double duty on the sound board today. My bud on that service called a few minutes ago and had a sinus infection. So I am fixing to go do the set up and run up and do both services
