Late start to the day….didn’t get up and Adam until 745. Kids watched some tv and played some video games while mom made waffles.

Dishwasher is down (control board) until it’s repaired tomorrow so did all the dishes from last night and now finally getting to my coffee at 820. It’s an upside down morning for this guy.

Headed to the aquarium in a little while in @Rickpstomping grounds Mystic, CT

Sure was!  Your  Wife going to like Mystic Village shopping.  There’s a couple of really good restaurants in the area.

Sooke was hit with a dusting of snow last night, not much maybe an inch however below freezing temperatures the next 3-4 days will keep the snow hanging around, hopefully back on the course by this time next week

17º and 17mph wind

It's 9am now and it's still 17º and wind is still blowing.  Heard a noise outside.  Across the street our neighbors are having their trees trimmed and I think removed since last fall they planted large evergreens under these big trees.  With the winds we've had lately, I would want those trees gone too!!

I had to google the term lol. Been to the casinos a ton but never the aquarium. I always expect a zoo like experience at the aquariums but it never is. Was a good trip though.

Aquarium great for the kids, Casino the parent’s.  Mystic Seaport really nice also but not this time of year.  You’ll freeze.

Good morning on a frozen Friday,

20230223b.jpg.0c840d5210a634f2ece6ff5b1ebad274.jpg

yesterday was significant more for the number of intermittent power outages, the first one for over 6 hours with ones that followed too numerous to count, some lasting seconds or many minutes.  It is nice to have continuous service since 10pm last night. The corgis are struggling just to go outside to get their business done but doing their best.

Looking forward to a productive day without having to reconnect to networks as a major time consumer for the workday! 💻

Never had that opportunity, when I retired 11 years ago teleworking didn’t exist.
Plus it was a manufacturing co, machines didn’t set themselves up and run themselves.

It existed but was rare.  I have been forced into telecommuting due to COVID and not my favorite thing to do. I miss the personal interaction and I’d go back to the office, but none of my co workers go into the office so I’d still have no interaction.

I'm impressed that the tree people took down my neighbor's 3 trees yesterday when it was 17º and wind blowing.  I had to run out for a couple of seconds this morning to take this pic...

I say run... well, I walked out but ran back in!!!  10º but at least it's sunny!!  As you can see my wife already left for her Rotary meeting.  She is on the Rotary fundraising golf tournament committee coming up in April.

I finished my morning exercises and heading to my heated hitting bay for my daily no-going-to-the-golf-course practice session.

Rare is correct.  I took my laptop home every night and logged into mainframe and checked on daily info and productivity.  Only 2 others,  my successor and Sales Mgr did that.

I'm impressed that the tree people took down my neighbor's 3 trees yesterday when it was 17º and wind blowing.  I had to run out for a couple of seconds this morning to take this pic...

IMG_1746.jpeg.e9fc7728b066156db7a8b04f58497315.jpeg

I say run... well, I walked out but ran back in!!!  10º but at least it's sunny!!  As you can see my wife already left for her Rotary meeting.  She is on the Rotary fundraising golf tournament committee coming up in April.

I finished my morning exercises and heading to my heated hitting bay for my daily no-going-to-the-golf-course practice session.

Coffee is hot and finding the beauty in this Frozen World.

Just want to say, it’s a very good morning. My dad (89) just got out of heart surgery, has a new valve. If all goes well, he’ll be discharged tomorrow at noon. Thanks for being a welcome distraction, all.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful start to your weekend. I'm sitting in the parking lot at work right now getting ready to go in and do some painting of numbers on the floor. I thought since it was going to be rainy this weekend I'd volunteer for some overtime.

I'll admit that I would love to be asleep right now, but I might as well do something productive since almost anything golf related is out of the question. Hopefully it'll be a shorter day than normal and I can get some family time in.

I have a "cherry Rockers" tournament all weekend. Which is little kids curling tournament. It's loud, games are rarely on time and there are so many ppl at the curling hall!

It isn't a lot of work, just longer days... And lots of coffee.

I'll second that!

This work project is going to last longer than I thought. We only have two copies of each number so pitches 10-19 are going to take forever.
