GM, 60* with light breeze a beautiful morning.  No golf today, coffee, cereal and Sports Page B4 a few house maintenance and then yard.  Should be a good day.  Resting B4 Bacon Boyz tomorrow.

I actually don't want to retire. Technically 3-1/2 years to full retirement age according to SAN.  But work is good, I can work from home now, have MGS up on my second monitor, set my own travel schedule to meet customers (take them golfing). Play in a bunch of customer charity golf outings throughout the year. Get my golf clothes, flights, meals, golf, and car paid for by my company. Why would I retire? Living the dream. It's like my own tour fully sponsored. I even wear my sponsors name on my hat and golf shirts. I do have to work but it's mostly meet and greet and be a solution provider. Some product training and contract reviews and negotiations. As long as I keep bringing in the work nobody bothers me.

I actually like the work from home thing. Having spent 40 years in an office, it is great to get away from the drama and office politics. I've only been doing the home thing since December, so we'll see how it goes.

With your setup I wouldn’t retire either.  When your ready to walk away you’ll know it.

Nah,  too cheap to do that as I want to be able to retire someday and I have have absolutely no idea how much I will need to do that so no spending money now.   Kind of paranoid about having enough to live on. 🙂    It is more related to not really liking the work from home thing.  Been about 3 years now and I miss my coworkers.   I could go in, but there isn't anyone from my team that is there.   Looking forward to tomorrow and going in and being able to interact with people again.

THREE years WFH??!!?? Yeah I'd be going stir crazy cabin fever also!

But yeah saving for the future is always a good idea! Life certainly isn't getting any cheaper, either...

Anyway hope the rest of the day goes well for everybody!! 👍

This is strictly my own personal opinion but I believe there will be a required hybrid model for some time in the next 6-12 months. My company is not doing it yet...HR is extremely cautious as are alot of companies requiring a come back to an office BUT it can only last for so long. Productivity will take a dip and I think the best solution without pissing people off is a hybrid 3/2 in person/at home model.  Time will tell but atleast with that you get the productivity of people coming in and collaborating as well as being home and being productive there. We all know everyone is doing stuff around the house when they are home.....

Human contact is important to the Beasts that we are. Comradery at work only comes from in person contact, but it does not have to be daily, just consistent personal contact.

A lot more than just testing but its definitely fun to test! Hope to see ya on some of the threads (this one is very popular right now).

Couldn't agree more with this. Testing is fun, but I look forward to the discussions (equipment, Tour events, spirits/cigars, etc.) and other engagement (fantasy golf, Tour event pick competitions, etc.).

I was more than ready at 60-62 yo.  We needed SWMBO health insurance coverage so had to hang on to 65.  Customers, employees, state and federal taxes, regulations and suppliers getting materials from overseas so quality and delivery were problems.  Like I said I was more than ready.
I was offered jobs mostly consulting but had enough.

Good morning! Its going to be beautiful here today (high of 76) and tomorrow (high of 83). Unfortunately, I won't make it out to play/practice. returned yesterday from meetings in NYC, have too much to do today, and tomorrow is my wife's birthday. On the literal bright side, Sunday is supposed to be sunny with a high of 77 so....

Morning all! Well wasn't that email about the upcoming test this morning special! Looks like Testing is back - for real! I'm super excited to see what other tests will be coming down the line. Good luck to everyone that applies.

I've got a 1:40 tee time - golfing with my wife. Weather = 80's, blue skies, low winds, but the allergy count is high 😳. Played like cr*p yesterday in a league team net scramble. Couldn't drive, chip or putt - just felt off. Hope the game is back today, especially since I've got men's group 18 tomorrow and couples 18 on Saturday.
