GOOOOD MORNING FOLKS on the other side of the planet. 

 

Just after 1pm here. Got my day started with daughter calling me asking if it was ok for her to go to URGENT Care.  WTF yes of course just go was my response. next question, what's wrong? She been sick and thought it was strep. She was right.  All that and looking at the clock going OH $%!+ I'm supposed to be at work. Slept right through the alarm, I wasn't even drinking so now all I have to blame is freaking age. But at least I woke up and I'll take that over the alternative. 

 

I was allergy free all but the last 3-4 years. Now if I don't take a zertec I get all itchy. I tried to blame the laundry deferent since the wife changed it to something other than Tide. Oh well, Here's to an ice free day.

As mentioned this morning, I did a thing today at the home of the WNY PGA Section Headquarters at Glen Oak GC.  It was a photoshoot to highlight our section PGA HOPE program and our newest Ambassador Justin Weglinski.  The post in Random Thread is linked below.

Good morning everyone! It's Thursday, I almost said hump day but I can't trust my groggy brain to be right this early and realized my mistake. I'm looking forward to the community call this evening and am going to have to check out the new website for the main site so I'll be able to contribute. I looked yesterday, but it was saying "coming soon".

 I hope y'all have a good day and that everyone suffering from allergies feels better today.

GM, after coffee and something for breakfast have to drop cart off at the garage.  Driver seat belt not working properly and have some noise coming from motor/drive that doesn’t sound healthy.  
They do give loaner carts while your cart is being worked on but they are older Club Cars that are unsafe at any speed, they are nasty.

GM fellow MGS'ers! Very cool and crisp Wisconsin morning here today, temperature read 18 degrees in the truck on the way to work. We are supposed to climb to the low 40s today, though, so another comfortable afternoon. Some rain is projected in the forecast this evening into friday, wtih possible, GULP, snow on Saturday. It won't stick long as the highs next week are climbing into the 50s. Driving range opening may get pushed back if we get too much rain/snow, but hoping to get out there on Sunday with my oldest! Forecast for Master's Saturday, when the course is scheduled to open, is currently  a high of 53 and sunny  right up this ol' Wisconsin boy's alley! There is also a member's only event Master's Saturday, so I am looking forward to that!

Good morning from a frosty windshield scraping WNY on this Thursday, hot coffee  making it better with the backup ready in the thermos.  Honestly doing my best to focus on  work this morning but events surrounding PGA HOPE swirl obscuring clear minded thinking.  Tuesday this was announced, notice who is in Team Jacobs...

With yesterday's photoshoot to profile the newest PGA HOPE Ambassador for the PGA HOPE WNY Section which had me involved with a lot of speaking parts, and seeing the itinerary for the above event weekend, I might have trouble focusing away from it for long at any moment.  Now I really do need to get my clubs going and the body back into golf tone.

Morning everyone! The dew point/humidity index is beginning to fall (finally) here in FL. The past several days have been very hot and humid. Combine that with a high pollen count to exacerbate my allergies so it hasn't been  a pleasant week.  I'm running errands today as well as stopping by the range today. Speaking of which - how come I'm a 10 hcp on the range and a 20 hcp on the course?

GM Y'all- Its another fun filled thrilling day- nice calm morning- w a high wind(50mph+) wind warning this afternoon- ahhhh life in Kansas- never boring. On the plus side- my driver is somehow supposed to show up today, with my wedge showing up tomorrow- any guesses where I'll be this weekend. Hope y'all have a great day F&Gs for those going out and not to worry- the rest of us got this!!!!! Ready to save the world yet again!!!!!

Good morning everyone, looking forward to a nice Thursday. Started boiling off our sap last night though I ran out of propane, so will need to get it filled today to finish it off, we only tap one tree so we don't get too much but close to 8 gallons so far so it will turn into an alright bit.

Woke up to the announcement of the latest Edel irons Testing opportunity.  This one looks very interesting for the lucky Testers.  
Also the 2023 Masters Pool with Titleist as sponsor.  Looks like an interesting Spring and I never mentioned the Cally Paradym irons.

Good morning, MGS. I'm up early and getting ready for a 12:20pm tee time at Concordia GC. Giving Vice Pro balls a go. 4 dozen mix came yesterday, only complaint is only 1 Vice Drive in the mix. I lost it the first hole I played with it. 

The sub70 24° was solid on the range, but I hit it on the toe a bunch out on the course. 1 clean shot about 160y into the fairway I kinda baby'd the swing so didn't get the distance I'm looking for. A few par 3s I'll get to use it on today.

I liked the vice pros.  I found the durability (when I used them) somewhat lacking.

Though when they were cheaper they made sense.  At the cost they want for them now I think there may be better options out there.

I will say though, nothing beats that lime green color they have for visibility

hey everyone, so yesterday was a mixed bag. Got told my parking garage was shutting down due to work without a permit and just general safety concerns, but repaid for a new garage, although at a higher price. But got home after Pickleball to learn either as a make-good from GolfBalls.com or as an error, instead of my 3 dozen order, I came home to see 6 dozen personalized balls, so we're all set for at least the next 2 or so years.

That's awesome!  My Father-in-law's cousin's family runs a maple farm up in Vermont.  A few years back we got to visit the sugar shack around this time of year and watch all the sap flowing in.  It was quite an awesome production!  

And man nothing beats some fresh maple syrup!

Also, good morning all!  I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm all jazzed up this morning!  Lots going on and Lots to do, but its all good stuff!

-Grady's first baseball practice last night, and he did great,  It's tough for him because he is so often with his 2.5 years older brother playing sports at home.  It's been a while since I've seem him play baseball with is peers and his heart and drive is starting to show through.

-Jackson's first practice this evening.  I won't tell him but he evaluated as the best 8 year old by the independent evaluators, and it's just fun to watch him play and try to get better.  

-Testing Season is off to a smashing start (I'm honestly super excited to see the positive response from everyone.  It was a lot of work for the mod team, and it brings a smile to my face to see it going well).

-Need to figure out a way to rig the Master's give away because Vokey's are 

-Have a fitting this afternoon for *CLASSIFIED* 

-And to top it off, It's my Dad's 72nd Birthday today!  Happy Birthday Dad!

I've been drooling over those Vokey's and have done the wedge selector at least ten times since yesterday . Live look in at me trying to decipher the winning line-up...

I got them from a site that refurbishes and resells, so only paid $1 each to see if I like them and which label I like the best. I just wish the mix was more even. Only data I got on that Drive ball was if you overswing and pull it, it goes dead left OB.

GM everyone!  Decent day today; cloudy but high of 63º; it's 44º now.  Got some yard work this morning after my lawn was plugged yesterday.  Then sit in on the community call followed by our annual meeting with our tax accountant... he's 6'6" and a 7hcp.  His "little" brother is 6'8"... one of the reasons we chose their firm as our tax guys!    #intimidation

I just got another shipment (6 doz) of the Pros. My wife plays the Lime Drip and I play the Green Neon. You're correct on the durability of the coating on the green. After playing 18 I will notice a small 'nick' in the green coating - but it doesn't affect the surface underneath. My wife doesn't have the issue with the Drip and I haven't noticed any issues with the white, which I've played extensively.
