The Good Morning Thread

Good Morning everyone!  A very pleasant, sunny 90º day today with 11% humidity this afternoon.  I can sweat and my shirt never gets wet!!    Two cups of coffee down and my wife is heading to the grocery store; she said the bill is going to BIG this time!!  Later we are going to replace the LED in an outside garage light (I thought those things never burn out).  I also have another sprinkler that's not working properly.  Might get to the course for some short game work, but my right wrist is still sore so I'll decide later.

@GolfSpy_APH  Have a great birthday Jamie!!  Hit 'em straight and not too often.

Me and the boy are heading out to the range to work on chipping and putting and then shots under 100 yards. He just finished his freshman golf season and now helping him learn practice is more than just banging the driver. Great way to start the day!

Good Monday morning everyone, I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Had a nice round yesterday morning at my local course and the Edel pitching wedge was the start of the show, so head over to that thread for some more details on that performance. This weeks weather is looking iffy but hopefully we get some practice and maybe a 9 hole round in one evening. Happy Birthday Jamie as well!

Good morning MGS'ers! Our house is on the mend health wise. Youngest is almost done with his antibiotics, oldest is still taking his, plus an inhaler, plus ibuprofen, plus allergy medicine , but he seems to be feeling ok aside from a cough. Two more days of school and then he is done for the summer. My mom is still not feeling well so she is at the doctor's office now. That puts us in a bit of a bind as she watches our boys for us, and my wife and I both have busy schedules this week. Hoping she feels better tomorrow to come and watch our youngest for maybe a half day and then I can take the afternoon off if needed. Ready for everyone to be feeling good again!

Nice Central Florida morning, 78 degrees! Surprisingly not real warm afternoons. High of 84 today, kind of odd for June?  But will take it. 
No golf today, a little exercise though.

I’ve spent my morning dealing with a DOT Level 3 reportable accident. My guy was just tangentially involved, but an ambulance taking people from the scene certainly adds to the excitement. So after 6 hours of this, I get to “start” my day. Sadly, it doesn’t include golf.

Morning all, WFH day today. Little one has been sick all weekend and I needed a catch up paperwork day so here we are. One resting watching cartoons the other putting together some delayed work over the past few weeks.

Well seems that our beautiful finish to May has caused our June to start off not-so-well... 
Still planning on getting out and testing the Paradym driver as much as I can. Hopefully the iffy weather will scare away the non die-hards.

Got back from my Bachelor party weekend last night and finally have decent service again. On the way to Crested Butte we stopped in Buena Vista and played a course there. Probably the most scenic course I’ll ever play. Also hit the longest drive of my life at 342 and was about 16 inches from my first ever eagle. Great start to what was a great weekend.

Not to plug myself, but I took the Callaway Paradym out for its first spin at Bethpage Blue this weekend.  A fitting entrance, the blue driver at the blue course!  A nice morning and above all else great to get outside.

A buddy of mine used to bee the Superintendent at Club Crested Butte- I got to play there a few times- it's GORGEOUS- I love that area. They used to have the National Disabled Vets Winter Sport Clinic up there before it moved to Snowmass

GM Y'all !!!!! It was a whirlwind weekend- actually got some practice in and a round- didn't do as well as I hoped, but at least I was out playing. Yesterday saw the smoker getting loaded and a LOT of projects around the house. Hope y'all have an incredible day and somehow or another, golf is involved.

BTW- The bacon wrapped drumsticks are called lollipops at the house- They're REALLY good. The full list is Brisket, Pork butt, 2 pork loins, 6 country style ribs, 4 chicken thighs, 10 lollipops (kinda sounds like the 12 days of Christmas huh?)

That sounds amazing. We didn’t get to play that course but we did a Mountain bike ride at Hartman Rocks that over looks that course and it looked beautiful. Thank you for your service!

I also had the opportunity to play the Club at Cordillera in Edwards, and Copper Creek. If you ever make it to the western slope- you GOTTA try Redlands Mesa- it occasionally makes the top 100 public courses in Golf Digest- it's a hidden gem with incredible views. If you can make it off the course without at LEAST 1 three- putt you're doing really well. Thanks and it was my honor

FWIW- There's 2 other public courses in the Grand Junction area as well. Tiara Rado- kind of a fun course. Snakes its way through a residential area(MOST of them had protective barriers of some sort last time I played it). If you play it- be careful on the 2nd hole(or at least make sure you see if there's anyone in front of you). #10 used to be a lot more fun than it was when I left. 18 will get you thinking you can drive the green- BUT-  if you overshoot it you'll hit the clubhouse.  The other one is Adobe Creek- its an assortment of 3-9 hole tracks. I recommend Mesa and Monument - Desert is kinda boring (IMHO).

If you want a REALLY fun mountain bike ride- try Slickrock Bike Trail
