I haven't been fishing is a long time;   as a kid I would go every weekend with my Dad and as I got older there was a set of ponds a few miles from my house so I would bank fish after school.   

While Northern Pike aren't native to our area,   I am surprised you haven't caught a chain pickerel;  slightly different variety but I would think they would be in TN.

There are some MONSTER northern pikes. Not quite Muskie status but still big

Staying home today, no golf because my back is in rough shape. It didn't feel right on the first tee yesterday and I played 11 holes anyway. 15 hours later, I look a little like Quasimodo.

Give it time to heal up Rich. I think I made my ordeal, which started in late January and just now turning the corner, worse by powering through the discomfort.  This started a "make it hurt less" (and counter productive) swing change that I didn't even really notice.

Top of the pot spies .  I miscounted scoops last night and the first cup was, well, a bit strong .  Threw in another cup of water and all was good.  My wife, a little late to the coffee party, even commented on how smooth the coffee was... I just elected to go with that .

That's a tasty looking breakfast Mark! 

Jason, it's time to get your priorities straight.  Grocery shopping or product testing... it's not that difficult a decision .

38/43 at Desert Springs yesterday .  The back felt a wee bit sore but SO MUCH BETTER than it has been for some time.  Have a great Sunday and Go Michael Block, Go!!

I have never caught one and looking them up, they do inhabit some areas around here. I guess none of my lures have never looked appetizing to them. I did once hook a gar, saw it jump out of the water and noticed the distinctive snout as it snapped my line. 

It kind of made me mad, that was one of my favorite lures it stole. @BKervin, I've never had the opportunity to taste pike, but I bet you can get some pretty good size fillets out of them. I would like to get my hands on some walleye again. My ex brother-in-law caught some at Dale Hollow lake and they were phenomenal!

Good morning all! Wrapping things up at my in-laws cabin and heading back home in an hour or so. FIL, my wife and our oldest caught a big haul of crappies again last night. Successful weekend of fishing! When we get home, my wife and I are going golfing with another couple for a 1:20 tee time. Most likely just 9 holes unless we drop the girls off at the club and play the back 9. Maybe if we are lucky! either way getting 9 in on a beautiful day. Hope everyone has a great day and will be interesting to see if Brooksy can hold the lead in today’s final round!

Pike are definitely different, 1st time I cautioned I thought I had a log that could swim!

Good morning everyone on a way too early to be out of bed on a Monday morning! Work starts an hour early for me because I believe they hate us getting sleep. 

Bad thing was, I set my alarm an hour earlier than an hour early and after getting corrected by my wife, kept waking up after dreaming my alarm was going off. 

Other than that, it's a good morning so far. My coffee seems to be doing its job of motivating me. I was able to spend time with friends this weekend and get to the course to practice my game. The most beautiful thing about this week is that summer shutdown is next week and I am going to enjoy some R&R.

The start of another work week for some here. Back into the office / facility through Thursday but looking forward to the upcoming long weekend with the Memorial Day holiday approaching.

Hoping to get through this week quickly and without too many work issues and hoping to get a couple more rounds in next weekend.

Morning everyone. Refreshing 53° right now with an expected high around 81° and sunshine. After playing three rounds in three days I’m starting to feel a bit worn, not use to that yet this season. Had a buddy text yesterday that he wants to play this afternoon instead of Wednesday afternoon and I didn’t say no so today will be round four. Ouch.

It’s a great morning today. Don’t get to say that often on a Monday but I have my coffe in hand and my clubs are freshly cleaned as I prep to play Landmand for the first time today. I’ve had a couple friends play it and I’m really nervous to tackle some of these greens. We have a couple of higher handicappers in our group today so we will be playing the green tees (middle) but still plays around 6600 yards. As long as my driver doesn’t fail me I should have a lot of shorter irons into greens so crossing my fingers I can still keep it under 80. A good friend who is a 3 handicap and played last year shot 80 so we shall see if the course eats my lunch today or not,

Good morning MGSpies and it is back to the zero commute login to work for this one who hasn't been doing anything with work since the 12th.  Email jail is my first priority and wading through the experiences that still fill my head from last week is not going to be easy, can't say how proud I am of my son who completed his first marathon yesterday in Cleveland.  The PGA HOPE Secretary's Cup is already a week ago but seems like yesterday and PGA Championship... just all consuming.  Hope golf is a part of your day  and this coffee is sure helping to get through the week missed at work clicking through a week of emails...

It's a chilly 45° here but again supposed to be in the low 70s later.  Just waiting the coffee to brew and get my day started.  Realized in getting rooms ready to paint that I need to sort through some old papers in our office here.  We keep all the manuals for Everything we've ever bought. It's been awhile and there's stuff we don't even have any longer.  Used to do these things in the cold snowy winter.  Going south for the winter so we can golf, is now messing up my golf time here!  Hopefully if I jump right into this I can get out later when it's warmer. 

Well at least there's no work that will interrupt it!  Enjoy your day.  Hope you get to chase the little white ball!

Good Morning Spies!  cloudy morning in Central Florida, but 75 degrees. Rain expected all day, so golf is questionable today.  Sadly that means a full day of work !

I had an eventful weekend. I posted my final review of the Paradym X irons. Friends visited from out of town and I got very squishy feet while attending the PGA Championship on Saturday. Today is an eye exam and tomorrow is a dentist appointment. Hoping to fitting in some golf in there.

The morning started off interesting. Monday is garbage collection day. We have the trucks that come and pick up the can and dump it. I have a good view from my office, and I turned around to watch. Well, my neighbors can got picked up and somehow the entire can got tossed into the truck. Knowing that I have a golf tournament this week I didn't want to run out to help and potentially screw up my back. But the guy got it out before I could blink an eye. Then he gets to my can and picks it up and when it goes to dump it dumped all the garbage in the street. This time I went out to help. Threw everything back in the can and was able to pick it up and dump it successfully. He was very appreciative and commented how this truck just came out of the shop. Obviously, it wasn't fixed quite right. 

Good morning to all and I hope you have a great day. I hit the road for the rest of the week for a business trip with a golf tournament thrown in for good measure on Friday. Love that part of my job!

Good morning! It is a beautiful morning with the birds chirping, the skies blue, and the coffee hot and flowing! This week is our last full week of school this year and the weather is supposed to be beautiful all week. Hoping for a lot of time outside, as well as some good golf to be played. I'm planning on getting out this evening and hitting some balls and working on my short game and putting. I'm headed to the Ozarks this weekend for my bachelor party to play golf so I need to get ready for that! Have a day everyone!

Good morning everyone, got to play a couple holes Friday before we had a family snafu that caused me to have to head back home (not a big deal with a membership) but it was great to get some on course shots with the Edels. The it was a very busy weekend with some errands, family time and a small bit of travel to do all that. Hoping to get more course time one afternoon this week, before camping this coming weekend. Hope everyone has a great Monday!
