No frost delay this morning and it's 35º, but apparently we have a 2 hour "ice delay" because they ran the irrigation last night!    We have had a 10:40am tee time with friends we haven't played with yet this year, and we may not get out until noon-ish.  

So, time to have another cup of coffee and a late breakfast since we won't be done playing until dinner time.

Well, the good news is, no blizzards in the forecast this week! The only golfing for me since November has been in my mancave with a launch monitor... That said, I took up bowling last year and found some more golfing partners to play with when our courses finally open (sometime next month, I HOPE!).

Morning!  Late this morning - been a busy document-heavy morning here at work, but the day got off to a lovely start - coffee, kids in funny, weird mood, and then sunshine poked through as we walked out to the car to head to school, and this guy showed up.  Super fleeting, happy to have seen it, and it feels like it bodes well for the rest of the week (wife's bday is tomorrow, snip-snip healing well, golf soon, etc.).  Happy Wednesday, folks!

Yes, that is the truth. I just realized that I’ve been at my current employer for almost 8 years now, feels like half that to be honest. Plus my kids (5 & 3) are growing up way too fast. I know the years are going to go faster than I want.

2 of our Gkids will be here a few days in June, 17 & 19.  Hope the other 2 (18 & 20) can make it soon.

My BIG boss came in yesterday to give me my 10 year pin and congratulated me for my service...... not really sure where those years went, to be honest. I'm looking at anywhere from 2-5 years (my choice-so far) before I have that NICE golfers schedule.

I won't fall in the trap of playing 3 days in a row. Whenever I do that day 3 is a scoring nightmare and confidence killer. The fact I played well the past 2 days, posted -4 net on a new course yesterday and had spurts of excellent putting with the new putter all point to taking a day to reinforce those positives.

Update: huge success at the sports card store. New customers of his seeking certain names and teams, minor league call ups and free agent signings meant 139 cards in my collection caught the eye of the owner. After some negotiations I walked out with $600 I didn't have previously. Consolidated the cards and have 1 less box sitting on my dresser. 

I went and paid a loan back to a friend, bought food for a couple days, gassed up the car and have enough left for 15 or so tee times. So long, cardboard. As I get older my attachment to collectibles seems to fade. I will likely go full clean out de-clutter mode at some point.

Nah,  too cheap to do that as I want to be able to retire someday and I have have absolutely no idea how much I will need to do that so no spending money now.   Kind of paranoid about having enough to live on.     It is more related to not really liking the work from home thing.  Been about 3 years now and I miss my coworkers.   I could go in, but there isn't anyone from my team that is there.   Looking forward to tomorrow and going in and being able to interact with people again.

I actually don't want to retire. Technically 3-1/2 years to full retirement age according to SS.  But work is good, I can work from home now, have MGS up on my second monitor, set my own travel schedule to meet customers (take them golfing). Play in a bunch of customer charity golf outings throughout the year. Get my golf clothes, flights, meals, golf, and car paid for by my company. Why would I retire? Living the dream. It's like my own tour fully sponsored. I even wear my sponsors name on my hat and golf shirts. I do have to work but it's mostly meet and greet and be a solution provider. Some product training and contract reviews and negotiations. As long as I keep bringing in the work nobody bothers me. 

I actually like the work from home thing. Having spent 40 years in an office, it is great to get away from the drama and office politics. I've only been doing the home thing since December, so we'll see how it goes.

Good Thursday morning everyone! I'm waking up, drinking coffee, and getting maintenance scheduled for my car. I feel fairly productive for 4 in the morning. Hopefully I can get my PTO approved for it, my supervisor isn't the best at getting in a hurry about approval. 

I found out yesterday we have to work Saturday. I've been volunteering the last few, but knowing we have to produce instead of helping finish is a bummer. It's still going to be a good day today. I'm looking forward to the community call this evening.

Morning all, back to work today. 50 right now with some drizzle. Have an eye doctor appointment down in the city during work to finally hopefully update my contact lens prescription so I can ditch these glasses! Hope it’s a great day for everyone!
