The good thing about Thursday is the golf coverage is on so I can also watch some golf. Charging up the shotscope and wireless earbuds for league match and forum call this evening. Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good Morning all! Sun is shining bright, it's already almost 60 degrees and another beautiful day is on tap. I am once again at work all day, so chances of golf are slim unless I can sneak up to the range this evening. Looking forward to the community call this afternoon and keeping my fingers crossed I don't get de-railed by a work meeting. At this point, the only thing that would keep me from the call is if I could leave work early to take my son up to the golf course. Speaking of him, he developed a rash last night which we think is related to his amoxicillin prescription for Strep throat. We are on the last day of the prescription, so surprised it didn't develop sooner, but he seems to be feeling fine so we sent him to school. Talked to a co-worked and the exact same thing happened to their son, along the same timeline, so we aren't too worried about it as long as no other symptoms pop up. Have the day off tomorrow as my mom is getting a bone marrow biopsy and cannot watch our youngest in the morning. She's had a bit of a cancer scare, but so far, all tests have come back negative. This is the last one the doc has planned (for now), so hoping that it will come back negative as well. Golf is on the schedule for tomorrow morning and hopefully the afternoon after I pick my son up from school, and then I'm hoping to get 18 in on Saturday morning as weather is going to take a turn back to cool, wet, Wisconsin spring weather next week, so not much chance for golf. Thankfully, my dad was able to take the day off of work so that he can be at home with her afterwards. We've been very fortunate in my family with the big C word. My dad was diagnosed and beat prostate cancer, only to be diagnosed with a form of Leukemia almost a year to the date after his prostate cancer diagnosis. He's been in remission for 4 years and has almost zero signs of the CML in his bloodstream, but is on a medication for the rest of his life to make sure it stays that way. Just hoping that this final test comes back negative for my mom and then we can breathe a sigh of relief. 15 minutes ago, IndyBonzo said: Sending best wishes for your son and mom @Jnoble89 Thank you, @IndyBonzo. Way easier said than done, with out first I think we went to the doctors like 5 times in the first 6 months. With parents it feels like it comes out of no where, they are older so you feel they can take care of themselves and will always be ok, but as always time wins out and then the worry comes. Yup went thru it with my parents and now our kids are checking in on us. One of our daughters lost her father-in-law in December and the focus is on SWMBO and myself. It’s just natural progression. tony@CIC
Morning all! Not much on the agenda today other than practice and a stop by the gym for my normal workout. Yesterday I played like cr*p. It was cool, cloudy - that was a nice change BUT the gusts to 31 on my least favorite 9 ugh. Not much golf in store til Saturday 18 couples. We have a men's match play event going on til Friday afternoon so limited (at best) tee times. Hope *today* is the day that you overcome your nemesis!! Last Summer my wife and I spent a few days in Spring Lake (I think it was? ..nice place by the beach) and played the front 9 at Shark River one day - now seriously NOT bragging here, I'm just an ok golfer, but ended up having a pretty good golfing day with one of my lower 9 hole scores (41 I'm thinking it was .. mostly due to a lot of spot on putting!) - so what I'm saying here is: if *I* can do it........ Oh, PS: we refreshed ourselves after at a really nice Irish pub along one of the main roads on the way back .. very friendly bartender who's into golf and bought us our second round! tony@CIC, Rickp, Kenny B and 2 others 4 1 Quote WITB of an "aspiring" play-ah ...
