Last Summer my wife and I spent a few days in Spring Lake (I think it was? ..nice place by the beach) and played the front 9 at Shark River one day - now seriously NOT bragging here, I'm just an ok golfer, but ended up having a pretty good golfing day with one of my lower 9 hole scores (41 I'm thinking it was .. mostly due to a lot of spot on putting!) - so what I'm saying here is: if *I* can do it........

 

Oh, PS: we refreshed ourselves after at a really nice Irish pub along one of the main roads on the way back .. very friendly bartender who's into golf and bought us our second round!

If the main road you mean is rt. 71, I grew up caddying at SL GC, which is adjoining that road on its east side. My best friend and my cousin live in SL now. I probably know that bartender, lol.

Golf is on the schedule for tomorrow morning and hopefully the afternoon after I pick my son up from school, and then I'm hoping to get 18 in on Saturday morning as weather is going to take a turn back to cool, wet, Wisconsin spring weather next week, so not much chance for golf.

Hope everything works out for the best for your Mom and son. Dealing with the same thing with my Dad. He's been in the hospital since Monday. No energy, out of breath just not feeling good. My sister took him to emergency, They ran a gambit tests and found a clot in his lung. Long story short he's doing pretty good and should be going home today if not tomorrow. I know he's chomping at the bit to get out. He also is planning on going back to his actual home in Wis sometime this month.

I'm just catching up here, by the time I got back on there was another 2 pages. I agree with @MattWillGolf, this has become the water cooler of the forum and I find it to be a positive place to start my day. I'm not a morning person even though I wake up a little after 3, so reaching posts here brightens my morning.

@Jnoble89, I hope your son gets to feeling better and send nothing but the best of wishes for your mom. It saddens me to hear that you and your family are going through this.

@sirchunksalot thanks Jason, I appreciate the kind words. Thankfully the rash on our oldest doesn’t seem to bother him. Hoping it’ll clear up the next few days. With mom just hoping for more good news. Definitely will share results once we know

Yeah, yeah. I said I was signing off for a while… but, one last post.

My 2nd youngest started pitching tonight, 2 Strike outs, 1 walk, and 1 run allowed.  Super excited for the little dude, well he is big, but still little. I bet he is throwing it close to 60mph at age 11.  First year pitching, and even really playing organized baseball due to the Vid, and the last move.

Very early (late GM also known as goodnight or GN) when you have a 2pm tee time you can stay up til 2am as it happens. Using the time to get everything ready for tomorrow. Bringing SUNSCREEN and 2 big towels one for clubs one for face/neck. 3 Vice Pro and 3 Callaway Supersoft as a h2h. Hoping a late tee time at a par 34 let's me take plenty of extra swings. Speaking of H2H my Iron Title Fight gets into "full swing."

Sub70 699 set is in a bag with Callaway Apex '19 irons for the first time. No catfights yet. I kept them docile by putting little hats on all of them. Lucky I had enough it might have been touchy if one of them had to wear the SW cover. The 56° wouldn't mind it likes to air dry after a bath.

Speaking of, you can see the "bench" in the photo below seething, particularly the 4W and hybrids who aren't used to being left at home since purchase. They aren't big on course management or testing new equipment, or me hitting my 5 and 6i straighter than them currently.

They certainly don't like being left dirty in the vestibule. Just wait til a bunch of them go back in the garage after I clear that space they will be so mad at me.

Good morning and happy Friday everyone! It's going to be a bit rainy today but tomorrow looks good. Right now, I've got a 2 p.m. tee time tomorrow of my playing partner feels up to it. He's been having a bad reaction to some meds he's taken and to top it off, he was just diagnosed with vertigo. I feel terrible for him and hope they can get things figured out.

Good Friday morning all. A nice spring morning here, savoring the last sip of coffee before a day full of fun(not). Last night I couldn’t get out until almost 7 which killed my chance at some practice. Hopefully tonight out by 5 and hitting the range on the way home.  As always the clubs are in the back seat waiting to see what the work gods allow. Hope it’s a great day for every single one of you!

GM fellow spies. Sun is rising, birds are chirping and I don’t have to work today. 9:10am tee time and life is goooooood

Dropping my oldest off at school around 8 then heading home to get my clubs and head to the course with my youngest. His first time out on the course and interesting will be the best word for it I have a feeling LOL. 
 

Also talked to Dr. about our son’s rash and he thinks maybe a mild sun allergy. Hoping if that’s the case it is mild and have read it should go away on its own within 10 days. He loves being outside, as you all know he’s my golfing partner and loves to fish, so hoping that’s all it is and it’ll resolve soon and not be a recurring issue throughout the summer.

As ELECTRIC as this photo is, still makes me laugh thinking of PM's 12 inch vertical.  That's eerily reminiscent to the feeling of it being sunny and 80 all week and getting excited for a big weekend, but then seeing rain in the forecast.  Regardless, still a great friday here as I sip my coffee and gear up for some fun this weekend.

GM Y'all!! Its  wonderful payday(more clubs-trying to help stimulate the economy one club at a time) I've got a 9:30 Tee Time tomorrow(gonna try my Rahm techniques if/when I can). Beautiful weather today- supposed to rain /get colder tomorrow- but at least I'll be out on the course with my fellow "Geriatric Crew". I'm 6'2" and the shortest of the bunch, one of them is a fellow amputee. It's always a bunch of fun!!!!! Hope the players get nothin but F & Gs (lots of 1-putts), yep- us worker bees got this
