You forgot that minimum age for SS and Medicare will then be 90 so you need to tack on a few more years. 

 

my math is a little better,  I’m 57, 1 daughter in last semester of college and has a job lined up starting in July, and I am fairly frugal.  So I figure by the time I can afford medical coverage it only another  15 years

Good morning, Spies!

Being 12.5 weeks post shoulder surgery, I met a buddy at the course on Sunday morning and walked 9 holes just to chip and putt.  On the 4th hole I chipped one in from the fringe.  It was great to be back at the course.  Life is good.

You have a daughter? Opps you forgot to add a future wedding into your financial picture. I think of it being the financial equivalent of one year of college.

Yeah I know.  I also have a wife who likes to spend money.   Guess retirement will never come

My morning started about 2 hours ago... starting my 2nd pot of coffee... time to make my daily fruit and greek yogurt breakfast... and imagine it is sausage and hash browns like @Lacassem.  

Another day, another chance to do better at every single thing I screwed up yesterday.

Having one daughter married, I can still vividly recall the conversations, after the initial shock of the wedding estimate.

Daughter>Father: But dad I'm your ONLY daughter don't you want it to be OUR special day??

Unfortunately swimming lessons were cancelled this morning. Water was apparently too cold so they will add a week later on. 

Too bad because it is one of my week highlights, but at least we get another later on!

Good Wednesday morning my friends   Coffee still too hot to sip courtesy of Mr. Coffee and his glass carafe poured into stainless steel thermos and mug to keep it fresh, dangerously hot and ready until lunchtime if work makes time pass so quickly it arrives before expected.  Probably not today.

Tempted to take half the day off to golf in February in WNY, many courses are opening walking only for the day but winds are already up and forecasted 25-35mph throughout the day.  Played wind like that years ago with rippling flags on bending flagsticks, putts curving away from line in crosswind and one drive in particular off the par 4 tee that should have landed a wedge shot from the green but instead never seemed to drop until I realized it was coming back and dropped 10 yards in front of the tee.  Will golf rain but wind not so much.  Still...

Coffee.  Doesn't happen often but this is a coffee morning.  Still too hot to drink it but sipping is a must as coffee is definitely required to adequately function since being awake is necessary. 

The view in your photo @berkeleybob is actually a good rendition of the brain fog and trouble of getting my brain to go into work this morning.  The computers are up and connecting so it is just the brain that has to make the commute past the barbed wire today.

Work from home day. One of the dogs had a surgery yesterday and was super restless last night I think as the knockout drugs were wearing off. Laid and fell asleep with her on the floor for a while…..now my body is pissed
