gnead
This is our latest putter style that we have recently finished the design for and are starting to produce. Gene
SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 15, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 15, 2010 These are beautiful Gene. The bent neck in the second photo surprised me as I scrolled down. It is well hidden at address. What is the toe hang on the models? What kind of finishes are possible? Moecat
Gene, show us your diamond pattern face milling. I personally think that one is considerably nicer.
Jeeves
wow... I have never seen a neck like that on the second one. Pretty neat looking. Love the unfinished look too. although I doubt that's how you'll leave it
Matt Saternus
I really think this headshape is something special. I love the soft curve between the bumpers. I definitely agree with Moe, we need some pics of that diamond/eyes milling. It is right up there with the best face milling patterns out there. jamo
Is the face grooves like that for aesthetics or so the putts roll better?
gnead
Is the face grooves like that for aesthetics or so the putts roll better? The grooves are just to look cool but they help get the ball rolling a little quicker. Other face milling as well as some finishes.
gnead
This is the other milling pattern Moecat was talking about
SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 15, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 15, 2010 Beautiful again. Seems redundant, but they are excellent. Do you make many with the line and the dot or was that specifically for a customer? seems more often either or. We build them to peoples specs so a line and dot are all available as well as many other options Thanks Gene
Matt Saternus
The milling in post #7 is what I was talking about! Not that I'd kick #8 out of the bag either. Great work Gene! Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
jamo
The grooves are just to look cool but they help get the ball rolling a little quicker. Good to know. Does that black one have an inset? If so it is very well masked.
SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 16, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 16, 2010 Good to know. Does that black one have an inset? If so it is very well masked. I believe that is all milling. Similar to how the Black Carbon Betti face looks like an insert. I follow Gene's work on a few forums and I've never seen anything about inserts. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
