knotthead17
I wonder if they tried testing spin rates with how bad a slice is. is 300 rpm less spin meaningful in slice reduction? I know there are so many variables like ball speed, and axis tilt but in general what's the ball park for slice reduction? 50rpm, 1,000rpm? On average what's the slice reduction 2 yards, 20 yards? It would be good to know to balance the slice off the tee with stopping power on approach.. It's funny, the last two ball tests I actually took the data they had in the article and created my own spreadsheet and ordered it by the columns that matter most to me and then went through and assigned Red/Yellow/Green fill to results that fit what I wanted from a ball. Then I assigned numbers to R/Y/G and added up each ball's score to look at a few balls for me to test on my own. I didn't get to the testing part, but I loved manipulating the spreadsheet and all that. I'm an IT Architect/Engineer, what can I say.
