Another fabulous call and I think the second one with at least one of them, the architecture of the room they work in reminds me so much of time I have spent in Europe  on various military assignments, it's just so different than on this side of the pond.  Thanks for another great job of hosting the call Jamie @GolfSpy_APH and taking that time so late in your evening

Glad I got to jump in this one!  You can definitely tell from the way they talked that they were fully involved and excited about this next step!  And the future they are working towards will be exciting to see grow!

Nice, I just finished listening to the replay  Great call, super interesting stuff. Neat that they will be at Club Champion on the US. That mitigates one of the downsides with DTCs. I'll have to let a couple buddies know.

Overall, I have to say I like the philosophy of the company, something which Alexander provided quite well with his perspective. They are going for performance for the "normal" golfer. They continue to have the benefits of a DTC equipment provider. But they aim to give more than other DTCs, and they want to be up there with the best products. As a result, their prices may slot in above DTCs and below big traditional manufacturers. They won't over-complicate their offerings - also a benefit to "normal" golfers. They leaned heavily on HIO's data to inform their designs. And of course a bit of style and color is part of the equation.

Good questions in the call, and it was also nice to have a tiny window into their design process.

Just spent some time listening to the call with Vice and practicing my putting…such an awesome call!  That team is fantastic.

Really enjoyed the thought that they are targeting the regular golfer and have some similar thoughts to other brands (ie, sound and feel) that came up before.

Excited to see and follow along with the Vice iron test.

Something I have been flirting with is the idea of hosting 2 or 3 of these a month and having them on days that work for the OEM/brand. 

We keep the community calls as they are and the same time slot. No changes there.

These would be the same format, but in addition to and may be the starting point for us kicking off a podcast idea that the staff have been kicking around for years.

I like the idea.  All of the calls with the OEMs have truly been fantastic!  Really gives a little peak behind the scenes on product development and how things come together.

I like this idea a lot and bringing it to a podcast. I can't always jump on but would listen to a podcast when I can't.

There is also a new feature called live topics. These can act as a chat like function where we can have a company in the forum answering questions and such. 

Need to test and try to see what it is like first but will be another method we put to use in some form or fashion.

That could be a cool function and slightly easier for a lot of people to jump on quick to ask something.

I think this would be great.  Could allow European or Asian OEMs could work with you to set up calls.  I am sure those Forum members in other time zones who would like to participate in calls would be excited as well.

I like these ideas. If these are going to be consistent for the foreseeable future, then this is just another way to use them and benefit from them without toooo much additional work.

The podcast might be the way to go. The actual format of the call can stay the same. It doesn't have to be anything formal to be a podcast. It could be audio-only, unless you expect to have visuals. But a podcast has a few advantages-

• Viewers/listeners don't have to be active on the MGS forum (gets new people)
• Content can be available on various podcast platforms (gets new people)
• Audience can listen on their own time with an easy format for their devices (gets more listens)
• Can stick in light advertising (gets money). I believe there are some auto options out there for minimal extra work.

There are probably enough golf junkies out there like us who would want to hear more from the equipment manufacturers. There is no doubt in my mind that they would get more audience. I think the MGS forum likely holds back the audience because it's less accessible (more for me lol). It's not hard to find, but there are just less people on the MGS forum than the gigantic pool of people on various podcast platforms. And having them available as a podcast (not live only) would get more referrals/links. 

For example, I know a talk podcast that has live listening/viewing on Twitter (Twitter Spaces), but then they have the edited version available on all the podcast apps (including Youtube for video) later in the day. 

I guess that's another possibility for the live part, Twitter Spaces, though it's audio only. It looks like MGS has 156K followers on Twitter/X. So if a live call was starting up, this would show up for all 156K users with notifications, etc. It would feel less like our forum group thing, and we'd all have to get/use Twitter accounts, but if you want more people for the live call, that could do it. You can still link to it with a forum post and top notification thingy here when they occur.

I checked MGS Youtube and it has about 82K subscribers. If these get posted to Youtube, that's a truckload of more potential views/listens as well. Or of course do the live part on Youtube streaming since it's video.

If the staff have been kicking around this idea, then there may be other categories of calls/whatever MGS can throw in the same podcast feeds. Is No Putts Given pushed to podcast platforms too? I don't even know. It could be.

Anyway, as a daily podcast listener (Apple), that is my 2 cents. I'm already here on the MGS forum, and love it. So it doesn't matter too much to me if you change it up. I'm just throwing out info on how I think it might go or what would work. Podcasts have certainly blown up the past 5+ years.

Just something to keep in mind while under the same umbrella the Forum and the main site do have different streams. We have different Twitter and Instagram accounts and in a sense each has its own audience as well.

Ok gotcha. Nevermind on the 156K Twitter followers then. I don't do much on Twitter and Instagram. The Youtube link is the same. Time to click those social buttons on the bottom and do some more liking   Anyway, it just depends on what you guys want to do.

I really enjoyed the call today, as usual it was informative to the happenings of the forum. It went off the rails at the end and that's what makes the call great. I'm still wondering if @GolfSpy SAM epoxies sandpaper to the bottom of his feet. 

The MLE discussion was interesting and it's crazy what records these people hold in competitive eating. I mean, 108 Krystal's (similar to White Castle for my northern friends). I ate 14 once as a teenager and thought I was going to die.
